I think SE is aware of the inactive accounts and I think I have a more elegant solution. Leave the inactive account into a dead temp server and when those players first reactivate and log-in, they're going to be forced to choose a new server. This will immediately open up all the server space you'll ever want for the active players to choose to transfer to.

I've got some additional details to share with you all in regards to the Worlds being at capacity on the application page. Multiple times throughout the day, the data will be collected and reviewed by the development and operations teams. Once they've calculated the amount of space that has been opened up from characters transferring, they will then manually update the application page to change some Worlds from "X" to "â–³". This will often take place from the hours between the evening to the morning each day (PST). Users wishing to move are urged to check the application page during those times for newly opened Worlds.

So yeah ... if transfer are important to you, at this point in time, you'll need to stalk the transfer pages. Anyway, wouldn't it be prudent for everyone to figure out where to transfer to and aim to do that? I see so many different server names popping up on here that you may as well just let the merge happen and not go anywhere...

If I might suggest it.... what if we all just went to Ragnarok? I know it's the European sever.... but at least we would all be able to be together. What about that?

Put it this way... it's still open... and we'd have 10-15 people of our forum there. Who needs an english speaking server if we're all together?

I'm convinced that SE is doing this on purpose to force players to choose Ragnarok to fill it. Otherwise, in a few weeks, Ragnarok is going to be a server dead-on-arrival.

Let's all just go to Ragnarok. That happened to be the name of the server I was on during Alpha testing of FFXI It's going to eventually be filled up and it sounds like the EU players don't actually want to leave wherever they may be. I think the JP players are going to Ragnarok, too, considering there's little option if you want to relocate whole LSs intact.

Choices are limited... but as of right now. Durandal just opened back up with limited access. I applied there. I suggest everyone else does the same. Excal isn't going to happen people. Apply Durandal ASAP! Let's go with Mezlo!!! Hurry!!!

I'm keeping an eye out for the re-opening anyway. I decided not to send my secondary character over yet to conserve space. I'd rather get more of you guys in and not take up the "limited space available" with my Mithra Name-Holder.

I'm sure Mezlo will be keeping an eye on the site as well.
