I got a square shield the other day for my THM, then proceeded to very painfully solo an EM mob. I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong and hate not being able to reassign my points back to VIT.

So, my accomplishment would be failing at playing XIV.

I had a good crafting week last week as I finally got to grips with the new crafting receipes, managed to get R45 GSM and R45 BSM.

Also made me some shiney new equipment too which has helped alot, no more velveteen gear wooot.

I found a tier 4 magic evasion materia in wards selling for 20k, and a tier 4 + enmity materia for 30k. >:O

Got R50 ARM, R47 BSM and R47 WVR in the last few days.

A whole year of leeching my crafting off local leve's is finally paying off.

Got R50 BSM on Monday and R50 WVR today just before servers went down. Onward to TAN and CRP just as soon as I get me some Moogle Action!

Dux, did you get all of those strictly by doing leves? If so, were you exclusively doing WVR and BSM onry?

All my crafting levelling up was done with only local leve's yes.

I actually decided to level ARM, BSM, GSM, WVR, TAN and CRP all at the same time. ARM, BSM and WVR are now 50 whilst GSM, TAN and CRP are 45.

Once TAN and CRP are R50 its onto GSM ALC and CUL for dessert.

Do you use food for crafting the leves? Do you use the guild support, or do you just craft right from where the guy that gives you the leves is?

I'm a cheap Lala. I dont use food or guild support unless the receipe explicitly states I need it, I get my leve run to the trade in NPC and get on with it usually.

I also only use NQ equipment unless I fluke make myself a HQ one.

We beat the Moogle King over the weekend. YAY! 5 pieces of tier 5 dark matter...

Oh, and SE you fail! After beating the King Moogle, you need to go and kill all 5 of the NM's again... This sucks...

^ you did the basic battle didn't you?

There's a Hard Mode for both Ifrit and Mog, and it's the hard mode that awards totems/weapons.

^^ I made 2 new friends and got a few levels across various jobs. I was rather pissed off to find out a quest I wanted to do had it's reward changed though. Someone had commented that it gave a Brass Hatchet that I really want for my shiny new 23 BOT, but as it turns out said quest rewards a Cotton Doublet Vest instead now

I'm also at a major loss as to how to level my TAN now other than by leves...
