Got an Iron Awl +1 while grinding BSM, I'ma keep that!
Tonight I'll be BSM30 and GLA40, and I'm debating on wither I should get a Goblin long sword or not... its 200k and I can repair it... but is it worth it to upgrade my Iron flac?
And holy shit... BSM is a bitch to rank up... 3 nuggets per synth? and at the crazy rate iron is selling lately, I'm not sure if I'll be able to hit 35 this month as I intended!

You do realize it's a lot easier to rank up both BSM and ARM side-by-side, right? I currently have 1,200 iron nuggets in my inventory + 300 iron ores/limonites which could potentially craft another 1,200 more nuggets. I got BSM 15>27ish just making nuggets, so yeah they work togther nicely but currently I'm suffering with aquiring iron since I don't have the time to mine if I want to get GLA up.
Oh and boom HQ mania.

With the changes in SP you should just focus on leve work rather than grinding.
(1) You'll hit DR on SP for your craft sooner now.
(2) You can get your mats doing leves.
Up to you with how you want to play but many players have been having issues with DR. I've been under DR for the most part because of my schedule so I'm one of the few players that the cap is affecting. It could also be that I'm horizontally progressing rather than solely focusing on one subject.Comment

BSM/LWR are kinda on hold other than leves since I'm lacking in mats.
But its fine, since on the other hand GLA is ranking up nicely, almost reached 42. yay~Comment

BTW, do you know if they had made changes to the DR on Skill gains? I'm not sure what the threshold is ... I gained several (Like a lot) of ranks in fishing in one week but never saw the decrease in skill gains that other plays have experienced. From what I've gathered from ranking up ARM is that you hit surplus at 100,000sp, and you can go up to 200,000 before the decrees becomes noticeable enough to warrant stoppingComment

I see, so it's a set figure of about 100K and then 200K before it becomes unsustainable. I figured it was that way because where I am now you'd have to rank 3 times before hitting the initial threshold and then maybe another 3 more times before it becomes undesirable. Most of my ranking was from 20 to 26 which probably falls under 100K (maybe even at 120K I wouldn't have noticed)Comment
