Re: Raise I, Raise II, and Raise III..

raise 3 is about 300 exp lost at 75, raise 2 is about 1800, 2400 for raise 1, 2800 for hp, or so i've found

Actually there may have been a raise IV at sometime- in idea at least. SE had a lot of spells thought up that never made it into the game or are in but dormant and not currently accessable (I remember reading early on that lvl 225 or something was planned for max lvl >.> )

Going off the fact that nearly every other detail in that entire collection of raise information is wrong, I wouldn't put much trust in it as evidence of the past existence of r4. Maybe there was, but that 'data' is nothing more than a guess.

You're wrong. At level 68-75 this is your current XP penalties:

          HP: 2400 xp loss
HP with mogenhancement experience: 2160 xp loss
          R1: 1800 xp loss
          R2: 600 xp loss
          R3: 240 xp loss

there is no documented proof that mogenhancement experience affects R1, R2, and R3

Re: Raise I, Raise II, and Raise III..

              Well current system states(xp changed):

              Death is 8% of tnl
A death xp can not exceed 2000xp.

              Raise1 should be 25% back so 1500
Raise 2 seems to float around 500, and really doesn't change as you go higher
Raise 3 should be 250 and like R2 doesn't really change.

There is a belief that it R2 and R3 only work for post 50 but I've personally tested it, and it does infact worked for all levels.

Only that it is "lower powered" for those. Casting a Raise 3 gave a lvl 32 35%ish back.

So while raise2/3 a newbie isn't that great, it's better then R1. If you're a good Samaritan give them a your highest raise.

That "belief" is straight from SE's mouth (er site?).

                  Oh please, do tell.

I would be surpised if it was even close to the SMN quote on warcry dated july04, which then had a smn balance patch that fall.(Which makes it a worthless quote because it's outdated)

I've tested Raise II and Raise III on level 50 and below. They do not work any better than Raise I. The only exception to this is if you die in a level-capped zone and are kicked out into an uncapped zone (i.e. you enter a BC50 with a level 63 job, die, and are ejected). At that point, your base XP loss is calculated as a level 50, but Raise II and Raise III do work as advertised, since you're level 63 when they're cast on you.

The whole point of R2 and R3 is to give you more exp back post 50. Since level 50 used to be the first HUGE EXP jump before they smoothed the curve. Pre 50 they are the exact same as R1.

Strange, when I tested it, it was more then 25%

I guess I'll have to find someone to kill again.

Ok retested it and came out 25% straight again...odd my tests back then was wrong.

Re: Raise I, Raise II, and Raise III..

Well don't forget in a MMORPG is consistantly progressing. So old data changes, sometimes due to currently player knowledge or actual change in its function. Seeing some of my old stuff posted a year go and some is right and some is totally wrong. My results though are usually findings from 20+ other sites (This isn't the only one visit for info, nor is allakhazam, mystery tour, somepage, element, etc..).

So what I usually posted during the old times what compilations of my experiences (lacking a lot back then) and compilations of what many sites suggested or speculated. I tried to make sure though that it was more then 1 site suggesting it in some minute way. Don't forget too since they change the exp scale 50+ as well as the exp % lost, there is no definate telling that raise might of been changed from it's old methods to what it is now.

So kuu what you may of saw before probably was possible but now probably isn't.

                          Double Post Edited:
Oh, as far as Raise IV that was mostly speculation from a couple sites I found before were they had Vids of a Raise IV. Not much info about it though, but it was a spell that wasn't available if it's even there now or what I don't know latest I remember seeing of spells in the game but no accessible yet I don't recall seeing a Raise IV anymore on it. However a newer Cure that was on the list seems to resemble what the Raise IV was (So likely the Raise IV that was speculated was actually this Cure that's now being speculated).

                          Double Post Edited:
Here is the link to what shows the Cure VI vid. That is the same one that was speculated to be Raise IV, now being speculated to be Cure VI.

                          Future Spells?

Or more directly to were that thread takes you:

                          Index of /videos/spells

Also the thread provided was not the ones speculating it to be Raise IV, the Raise IV speculation iirc was not on this site at all. Which it was I'm not sure, but many of the old sites I went to during that time are no longer there or have many broken links so I doubt I'd find it again.
