Bottom line is, if you don't have the proper setup to kill a NM, don't blame anyone if it was taken from you.

incorrect. there are very often glitches that cause an NM to go yellow. Also if someone in your party engages another monster ( say you get linked ) the name will frequently go yellow.

another note if it goes yellow and you claim it and the person has hate, that is considered MPK and will get you blacklisted by just about every JPLS on the server. If you steal an NM the way youj are describing or you MPK JP LS will brand you thus and they will steal from you every chance they get. You will never be able to beat King Behemoth or anything such as him because he frequently changes to yellow because of the kiting manner needed for tanking him. You will get kicked out of your LS unless your LS are idiots and you will give you and nyour LS a bad name on the server. If you want to be a selfish prick and do that kind of shit you're going to suffer consequences. You're only making it harder on yourself and you're going to get screwed in the long run if people brand you as NM stealer and MPKer.

I've died once when gravity wore off on convert hehe. Other than that pretty simple fight. I'd stick with blizzard 3 and use ice staff anyhow.

Aquarius was waiting for me when I logged in after work. #16, no cloth (3/16), no Francisca (11/16)

No Treasure Hunter loving for any of 'em, though.

Did you ever think about someone having to solo an NM because they can't get the necessary people in a group together to fight it? What if they aren't in a big LS with high level members or don't have many in-game friends? I guess they don't deserve to fight it then.

I went to Boyahda to kill Aquarius with NIN/WAR, WAR/NIN but when we reach there, 75THF/NIN37 was already soloing it.

It took him 15 minutes or so but he easily killed it without any problem. I'm wondering if RDM75/NIN37 with Evasion+ gears can do that, too.

I believe that THF/NIN recently just a big boost in soloability due to being able to use crossbows and Bloody Bolts in the latest patch. Being able to heal yourself really helps in soloing things. In fact, in that screenshot, it looks like the THF has a crossbow in his hands.

Well, Aquarius is LV69-71 and it should be DC for LV75 players if it were not a NM.

My friend of NIN70 who has additional 40+ ivasion easily beats DC Robber Crabs only with Utsusemi:Ni although it takes some time.

As we know, THF has Eavsion Bonus at LV10, 30, 50 and 70. I'm not sure how much they get but I guess it's 40 (10+10+10+10) or more. That thief soloing it had gorgeous gears such as Optical Hat and Scorpion Harness. Therefore, it shouldn't be hard for him to evade its damned fast attack.

As for crossbow, yes, he was using Acid Bolts to remove Scissor Guard. I didn't know about THF's marksmanship skill but it is C+. Even at lower levels like Qufim, some smart thieves make good use of it nowadays.

I have solo'd as 75RDM/37BLM and tried as /whm and died, twice.

Gravity is the only way, luckily mine has never worn off before I can recast. I find it much more fun to do with a friend, and he is 72blm/rdm. We just pass him back and forth in a line, and sometimes we run around the tree with him if there is an EXP pt killing the crabs. Fight duration: About 5 minutes max.

Drops: no cloths so far, axe has been 100%.

If Gravity wears off before you can recast, you still have bind, sleep and sleep II at your disposal, too

i'm 3/18 on cloths, but don't think you can sleep or bind him. Thinking about getting my zenith gloves made for added nuking power, but kinda wasteful since I'd only use vs aqua really and already solo it easy enough.
