If you ran you would eventually start a train and after than you would have to pull off some dodge ball moves.

Totally disregarding becoming a "meat shield" that is the Paladin's destiny, how would a Paladin/Thief combo work out, both solo and party wise? Would the Triple Attack come in handy?

Since pld isn't an attack force there's no point in being PLD/THF. THF has nothing to benefit the party and isn't going to help in solo. And you get triple attack at level 55. If you're going to be a PLD/THF you're going to drag down the entire team.

PLD/THF combo would do just fine especially on those solo money/item farming trips. Although parties expect some form of taunt whether it be "taunt" or any cure/healing type of magi. Subbing theif should be a side thing and not mainly for groups.

PLD/MNK is also a great combo, the added HP from MNK helps but your still missing some type of "hate" generator.

Sad to say it, but if you can't taunt in one way or another your basically useless and won't be able to perform your job. Most PT's expect this and unless you have a group of friends who don't care what you do its best to sub warrior (which is sad considering all the nice jobs there are out there).

There is no "best" race for the paladin. Every single one of them can do the job well. Stat items come more often later in lvls, so basically any race can do any job now. Thats why you see more taru melee and (hate to say it) Galka mages *ack*.

But as natural races, it would be Elvaan and Galka, being the main dmg/def races for Paladin, Black Knight, Warrior and Dragoon ... And in a third place, maybe Humes - But they still cant compare to the 2 first, and I think humes should stay RED MAGES - Cuz I dont like humes in any other job than that !

Ok.....a few people mentioned that Paladins strength grows weaker over time. I dont care If I'm not SUPER strong...but I would like to do some REASONABLE damage!! I was wondering if you could equip something that could make you stronger or anything like that. see I want to be super defense and a tank, but I also want to be able to attack!

And also..........what if you reversed the jobs of Warrior/Paladin?? What would that be like?? Having WR as main and pallie as sub?
                  Lvl 30 warrior - Lvl 10 red mage - Lvl 6 thief - lvl 17 monk - lvl 5 Blck mage - Lvl 9 Wht mage - Lvl 6 Beast tamer - Lvl 31 Paladin - Lvl 8 Ranger

Then you'd do a little more damage, lose some White Magic and Defense. The stat switch is fine I guess, but the waste of your already limited White Magic makes it less desirable, I think.
