I think Keyura was referring to Reviler's Helm, which has charges of Provoke. Of course, the cooldown is 10 minutes and after 30 shots you have to kill Vrtra to get another one ... yeah, sounds terribly impractical to me too. I think he was just being facetious.

With just having 1 voke per 10minutes. Having it for every 30 seconds is bad enough, I can't even imagine it being 10minutes. If that's the case you'll be using flash 10x before you can use the reviler again. Very impractical. Unless you guys show me a Video of a PLD/NIN running around kiting Kirin or any HNM and keeping hate from any Nukers/DD's, I still won't change my view upon it. Again, with the new patch, you lose hate while getting hit (even with a shadow).

PLD/NIN is very helpful for certain NM's like Thousand Eyes and others that just hit damn hard and would take a lot of WHM power to keep the PLD alive.

Back to weapons; I've started skilling up my polearm just for fun. If I can get it up high enough and aquire and Ox Tounge it should be good for tanking in pop-item parties (killing placeholders, not the NMs) or just messing around. Paladin get a good rating in polearm, I think it's on par with Samurai and better than Warrior.

Elesir, I um..our rating for Polearm is E while B- for both Sam and War hehe. Just wanna point that out.

Definatly not for the main tank... It would be fun though to have another tank, say a NIN, and you get to dual wield Kraken and Joyeuse... That would be fun, but No way could it work in XP party... It's just not practicle.

Farming maybe, but parties and HNM's, I dunno if you wanna go nuts and hack away. You'll just give the mob too much TP. Sounds very interesting though.

well, pld can wear hauby and other awesome DD gear. Screw Kraken- Company Sword main hand, Joyeuse sub. I don't think it's possible to catch up to "true" DD but I wonder if you could about replace a healer via <stpc> macros (I hope a level 75 Pld would know how to use those >.>). I still don't think they'd be the best choice, but I'd be interested to see how well it could work out.

theres 100 charges on that, ive seen it before. its also 100,000,000 gil.


hows WHM sub? it must be wicked for hate when your fighting something with AoE, Divine Seal, Curaga 2, and Stoneskin + Blink would help alot too.

There are special case circumstances where I have heard of this being used and working (usually when fighting things with massive AoE that cannot be avoided... Ouryu Cometh comes to mind).
