i'll guess it's a -enimity trait, coz i draw aggro really bad by just swinging my fists (wif war sub that is) wif bard in a party i'm pretty much unstoppable, so it's really bad for the tanker

i'm pretty sure it's not an -enmity trait.

It's more likely going to be a critical attak, or a TP reduction passive.

In other words, when you do your 2 hits as a mnk or a ninja, the mob will occasionally NOT gain the TP they usually do.
It's not going to be an immediate - anything. Just that over time, the TP gained by the mob will be less cuz subtle blow kicked in a few times.

Either that or it's a version of a third attack which would make subbing other jobs like thf be a decent dmg dealing class since war's main uses as subs is berserk + double attack.
And for ninja's you can keep your /war for blink tank, but for those who want to do dmg, they could go /thf instead.

The possibility of it being an -Enmity trait is high, but there's a few things I wonder about. If it *is* an -Enmity trait, unless it's acquired at level 38 or higher, it would seem as if every other class can sub Monk/Ninja and get a hell of a lot less hate...which seems somewhat imbalancing. It would certainly usher in a hell of a lot of /Nin characters from any damage dealing class.. Dark Knight, Dragoon, Black Mage, etc would all benefit from a natural -Enmity on everything they do.

That was definitely my first thought, as I do think they plan to remove Ninja tanking. But after consideration of the subjob implications, I'm beginning to wonder. If it *is* -Enmity, I'd say it'll be 40, 41, or 45.

so that when they raise the lvl cap in the future ppl could exploit it then too?

The more people talk about the more I think it is probobly not - emnity .

It is probobly tp reduction (which is still good maybe now we will actually be wanted in HNM fights), or maybe something entirely different. -emnity is a pretty big deal I think..there isn't many equipment that gives it (AFs mostly).

If it was -enmity, it would have to be a 45 or even 50 trait at least to stop it from being exploitable.

50 is the first level a MNK will really start to want a -enmity trait anyway...

Why - TP to mob makes most sense: Monks and Ninjas share 1 thing - they hit ALOT quicker than any other jobs, thus giving the mob more TP (alot more) than any other jobs. If S-E wanted to give someone - emnity it would be Drk (because Monk can take aggro for a while with Counter and Dodge)...

This is exactly what came to my mind when I first read the description. A -enmity or -TP accumulation trait just seems a little too focused, or obscure. However, it has a valid argument in that SE has supposedly claimed Ninjas were not intended to be tanks. This could be their way of nerfing the job...

That's so wrong, but I can't help laughing ! I plan on being a monk (no advanced job except maybe Samurai sub), so the Enmity-reducer version of Subtle Blow would help in parties but keeping hate off me, but I can see why Ninjas are a bit ticked about it. Besides, it'll probably a mid-high lvl thing like all updates, so I doubt I'll have to worry about it for a while.

I agree with -TP to enemy, that makes the most sense, -eminty is too good and would make a big change too fast.
Destiny is calling...will I be able to answer?
