  • subtle blow O.o

if u guys checked out the playonline site recently theres gonna be a new update with some interesting stuff. Including the addition of a new monk ability call "subtle Blow". anyone have any idea what the hell this is

heres what i saw in the anouncement

    [Battle-related]
    - New Dynamis field areas will become accessible.
    - Several new types of battlefields ranging from low- to mid-level will be added.
    - The issue concerning the accumulation of TP with weapon skills that consist of multiple strikes (i.e. Combo, Penta Thrust etc.) will be corrected.
    - A new job trait called "Subtle Blow" will become available to ninja and monks.
    - An ability that allows dragoons to restore their wyvern's HP will be added. Also, if a wyvern at full hit points is sent away using the "Dismiss" command, the "Call Wyvern" ability will be available for use immediately.

I'm guessing that it is gonna be a -emnity or something applied to attacks and WS.

I doubt it's -hate, Ninjas need all the hate they can get.

Yeah, but from what I hear, Square-Enix never intended to make Ninjas tanks. This could be a fix for that...

I'm guessing subtle blow is either no enmity on some hits (like double attack kinda), or no TP given to mob on some hits...

yeah but why would S-E do that?
Most war sub mnk, and nin later on

With a move being a trait, that would mean it would kick in quite often, and would lower enmity which is NOT what a warrior wants. Unless the lvl for the trait is higher than 37.

Does that mean multiple hit WS like Raging Fists will only give back 6% TP rather than the 30%ish that I get when I land all of my hits?!

If that is so... that sucks.

I dont think that is what I means I think it means that there were certian instances where you would get more (or maybe less) tp then you were suppose to.

If subtle blow was a passive ablity that reduced hate would that just be a little too powerful for monks? Depending on how much it kicked in you might see more MNK/SAMs or something

i hope for ninjas sake its no TP return for the enemy, that sort of makes sense since thats the downside of Asuran Fists

no Enmity is good too thought, for mnk but the connection with mnk&nin is their 2x hits so i'm guessing no TP gaining for enemy

Yes, that makes the most sense.
Subtle blow... meaning the hits will be done discreetly giving the mob less TP.

Bravo lad; best conclusion yet to this mystery.

Here is hoping that it is some kind of - emnity trait.

If it is anyone want to volunteer to sub /sam and spam Asuran Fists to see how effective it is =).
