To my fellow Dragoons

I know things are looking grim for our job, but the purpose of this post is to try and encourage you all to stick with it, even during these tough times. I don't ever really post here, but I see so many people leaving the job for others, or just complaining. You have every right to complain, but don't lose hope! Think back to what originally drew you to the job and try to keep the drg alive! I'm sure at some point SE will change things around again... besides, we can't get much worse, right? Play the job because you love the job, and although it hurts to see drg pale in comparison to other similar jobs, Dragoon will have their day. Not so bad in ballista, jump is wonderful. Besides, no matter what anyone says, no other job is as sexy or has the finesse we do

BTW - Try drg/drk in ballista... it's fun!

Yes! The real reason to play, I'm sure not many of you play DRG JUST to spam penta thrust :p

Not the appropriate thread to put this kind of stuff. DRGs are great and I can see what S-E is starting to lead to with this job. Have they gotten there yet? No, but that goes the same quite a few other jobs. The next job I'm predicting to see be fixed is NIN, everyone knows and is aware that they shouldn't of been able to act as blink tanks. So in that manner in the future updates Utsusemi is most likely going to be corrected so they can't be used in that fashion.

Why play? Because we like dragoons; they're different. Plus, don't forget that drg can match and BEAT all melee the first half of the game, so not completely useless. Oh, and thanks for stating the obvious

Please, this thread is for drgs, not other classes opinion on the job. Make another post for that.

Everything we can do another job can do better.

Anyway i hate to see my fellows Dragoons keep dreaming we are good as this puts a fix even more distant from our reality.

And whoever thinks we are crying because we can't penta spam should take 10 mins of your time to read the long threads at these forums before saying no sense stuff like that.

Well, nobody here is "dreaming" they are good; like i said, these are tough times, so don't get upset because some of us still like our job despite it's shortcomings. I also don't think that everyone quitting the job will make SE magically fix it so everyone returns to it. If SE cared that much, they'd take the advice offered on these boards more seriously. I am not here to argue why/how we suck, I am here to try and keep the drg population from dying out completely since I myself feel discouraged sometimes. Well, it seems I at least made one person happy :D

I'm not a dragoon, but this is the kinda post needed to try and keep things positive, sure dragoon isnt the best dmg dealer, but neither is samurai, but i play this game to have fun, not be the greatest thing there is(not saying i'm lazy, i do put forth the effort to get the best items i can get.)

and if you like dragoon for what it is, not what dmg it can do, then good job. just try not to be too negative :/

It's true that all the negativity isn't helping things.

Just a little bit tough to be positive when a job that you've spent time devoting yourself to (50+ dragoons only please. Thanks.) gets changed drastically overnight.

Can anyone give dragoons a reason to remain upbeat? Obviously dragoons aren't worthless now, as some have been quick to proclaim, but they are worth LESS than other melee.

It's heart-breaking.

Hey, they could take away your Wyvern, Jump Abilities, and change your name to a Lancer. Wouldn't that be fun? Heh.

Most everything is opinion, really. I had a SAM friend complaining because she can't self renkei anymore, or something like that. Other people praise the update. Why? I don't know.

I'd say keep playing DRG, its the job you wanted to play. If you get bored with the job, or angered by it, level another job. Then go back to DRG. One of those corprate bigwigs should notice someday, all these DRGs are complaining...even other jobs are complaining about the DRGs. Why would they do that, unless something was wrong?

The Lancer in Tactics rocked. They had some very hard-hitting Jump attacks. And they had some rang too. Like half the map. We're they over powered? Yes, somewhat. I had a party of just Lancers, each with different subs, and they owned everything. Lancers were just another name for Dragoon's in this game. And Freya was a Dragon Knight. Although she had some nice abilities.

This game has the weakest version of Dragoon of any other FF. But will I stop playing it? Nope... And anyone who loves the job as much as I do wont either.

to much people are after perfect combos why go drg/sam when you can go drg/thf ...

and we are like the paladin and darknight they are knights of light and dark we are knight of dragons which is both light and dark...
