Unlock Dragoon Quest?

Hopefull next week I'll get lv30 and get to do the DRG quest. My bro is a RDM and a good friend is a WAR. We work very well together. Hopefully with some others to help we can get it done at lv 30. I'll post back here when I atempt it.

My friends and I ran around for hours doing all the leg work to find out....

you MUST all be at the same exact point in the drg quest, thats it.

....is true AFTER the 4 of us had clicked into the battle and the other 2 were left behind.

Well anyways was a good fight, we had 30war/15thf Elvaan (meat mithkabob), 31war/15mnk Hume (grilled hare!! GRR I had meat kabobs!:mad: and he didn't eat them!), 31whm/12blm (drink 2 pineapple juices), and me 32rdm/13blm (2 pineapple juices)

We just that we managed to get the dragon within an inch of its last breath (READ a sliver left!)

Well anyways just some info, it was hitting my a 32 rdm with 135 def or so for like 60dmg not much, but he has a special attack that does like 350-390 dmg to our 31warrior! (YEEOUCH!) so be sure to keep the tanks above 400 at most times. Lastly, his nice little nasty toucher is a AE dispell that drops like all buffs :mad: well thats easy just have the whm run in for Protectra 2. *edit* forgot to say that Liquefaction did 0 dmg he might be strong Vs it.

He dosn't seem to be that hard, we weren't really uber equipped or anything (read: 30war had a cruel spear WEAK!) and we managed to get it down to a hair of a sliver. I think I'm gonna round up my pals tonight and have a wack at him again, but this time I am taking Cheif Kabobs and Yagudo Drinks for the extra zinger ya know!

Well I've been rambling but there is useful info in here about fighting the dragon, why don't someone fix it up all pretty and put it in the sticky? I found all this out the hard way ^^

In case some people are getting worried, you either need to be at the same exact point - or already beaten the dragon ^^

Just do what you end up doing with most of the Adv. Job quests: find some extremely uber player to help you.
