:3 Ok lets get back on topic..

I think I'm gonna go with Taga's original suggestion and stick with Shamans until Black Cloak. One of the reasons I wanted this uber long break for money was to get the best gear so I wont need another break. As in, the getting the best gear I can wear now until level 75. Since Im getting Black Cloak at 68 anyway, I may as well spend my money for Serket/Astral (Vivians Ring at 61). I also plan to get a Moldavite.. that jem will pretty much cover for all the +INT stuff I scrapped. XD

So pretty much I'm just aiming for a Serket and Thunder staff now. :3 I already got a dark, and my static pt will use Ice and a Thunder skillchain, so no need for other staves.

Will do Peacemaker. I have finally solved my gil and equipment problems. Mining! I get plenty of gil not only that but within a few hours I had enough to buy both my earrings and my Erudtie's Headband. I was just wondering what robes I should get. I saw Priest Robes and a few other Priest equipment I was thinking of getting. It adds to mind and since no robes add to Intelligence at my level I figure why not get those and boost my Cure spells for after battle. So should I stay with just regular robes or go with Priest?

*oh and creos (sp?) at Level 18 on my BLM i used the robe with +1int and +1agi... but you cant with erudite headband, so i suggest just geting a level 12 robe... the +mnd from a robe wont help you**, and im pretty sure preist robe is like.. ~30k

If you want a topic about how you should spend your own money.. make your own topic. Note how I didnt spam the 523432 posts out there about making money, and I made a post strickly for me. This topic isnt called 'how should a black mage spend his/her money' or something like that, it's about me. I hate to sound self-centered, but I really need some advice. Yet when I keep clicking back to see what people say you guys go off on a tangent every time.

I'll try to answer your question as best I can Kuno.

As far as getting all the elemental staves vs. getting vermillion cloak goes:
Recently, I partied with a blm that had vermillion cloak, shaman's cloak, and all elemental staves (drk staff HQ). I didn't notice a significant advantage that he had over me (ice and dark staff, no vermillion). I did a little watching, and noticed that while resting, vermillion is APPROX. +5 mp recovery while healing (in other words, in the time that it takes to get 1 tick of mp (notice, not tick from ballad/refresh, I mean the bulk blocks you get (+22 with darkstaff and on), you gain 5 mp from vermillion). Therefore, Darkstaff is twice as effective (while resting). The +1 mp/3 secs from Vermillion may be nice in theory, and yes, it'd be nice to have if I was lv25ish, but at lv59, it's not that big of a deal. I'd just wait till lv59 and get a Black Cloak ^^ Another thing is...you won't usually be casting with the vermillion cloak on anyways...so it's only real application is what effect it has while you're resting.

Here's how I'd rank the items you're interested in:
1) Dark Staff
2) Ice Staff
3) Thunder Staff
4) Vermillion Cloak (until lv68)
5) Wind Staff
6) Fire Staff
7) Water Staff
8) Earth Staff
9) Light Staff

Just having number 1 and 2, I notice that I'm just about as effective as the blm with all of them, I just don't get to show off as much. So I'd save the rest of your money and have an elemental torque + black cloak ready and waiting for you
