How should I spend my money? o.o

Let me start by saying I dont like to level much with inferior gear. It's just the way I am, and I take huge breaks from leveling in order to get the best (or at least pretty good) gear for my level. So in order to get the stuff I want I just fish and fish all day~

I'm currently taking another break right now, I might level to 58 but that's it for a while. I was planning on saving up for a Dark, and all other elemental staves (except light and the +1s).. however I was wondering if I should go for a vermillion instead. Originally, I was just planning on wearing AF until Black Cloak, but that is a very long time. Should I save up for vermillion first? Or should I get the dark staff before it? The other elemental staves are useful, but I place the verm and dark staff way ahead of em.

I want them both, and they are both useful, but I dunno which to go after first. >.< Although getting a verm will require a LONG time fishing~ ;;;;

i agree, go for the dark staff first. it helps a heluva lot...i'm sure vermillion cloak would also, but jeez...2.3 mil on my server, thats a whole lotta money. dark staff helps a whole lot and is 1/4th that.

Please note, I dont have any money. I was just wondering which I should worry about getting first. I'm gonna have to fish for quiet some time to get that stuff.

I'm probably gonna take a really long break because alot of end-game gear is available to me now. Looking forward to Serket Ring, Hume RSE Belt (the one that gives +INT), a Morion +1 and that +5 Ele skill earring. Add in the Ele Staves and that's around 10mil. I probably wont get to level until August. XD

Wow... gathering gil must take a really really long time. I need gil too. I cant decide what head gear to get (i dont want tunics x.x) I think Fungus hat adds +1 Int but I dont know how much it costs. I still have to ger my rings and my earrings and my boots, and my legs and my hands *sighs* I feel your pain. Only you must feel it like 800 times worse. You need spells too. Im only level 18 and I'm whining about gil. -.-

Spells, Elemental staves (Dark, Ice, Fire, the rest.. in that order imho if your over 51), Gear/jewlery, food.

Your gear is pretty good, I would ensure that you use hume rse pants and maybe feet. Get a dark staff (or you could be a cheap guy like me and get a Master Casters poll at 71 w). Level 70 RSE rope is also very good, costs 250k for me, 1/4th of the price for the level 5x one. New hume rse gloves are very nice (+35mp +4 int +4mnd), except no blm I know would wear them (elem > int), so they are more or less an rdm item.

There are better things to camp or get at level 65+, I would consider moving to that level before spending years fishing. It's not to hard getting 200k a day camping nm's during NA time.

I'm actually not worrying about spells. All spells after 56 are very cheap. I have sleepga2, and I am just missing the ancients. But those aren't even needed.

I already have the Ice Staff, and I find it very useful. I think I'm gonna ignore the light and earth staves.. I hardly use those elements. I think I'm just gonna use thunder, ice, dark and fire most. As a blm, I use those elements tons more than others.

Yea I was dissapointed by the new boots. >.< I wanted something finally better than my RSE ones.. but that'll never happen. I still have my RSE pants, but I find myself sticking to +10 dark magic because I can aspir for tons more, with less resists, and that makes up for the MP loss.

With my schedual, I get alot of time to play, but it's scattered around the day. I really cant level up, and I usually just hang around, so I fish. I can only level up on weekends, but I usually fish then too. ;

And I cant stand NM camping. It's just not for me, and doesnt fit time frames. I just fish a few hours here, and a few hours there. The good thing about fishing is that even while fishing for money (moats), I get occasion skillup. That means the more I do it, the better I get at it. ^^ So since I get a decent rate now, by the time I get my first million I'll be a great fisher as well. ^^

But since I'm gonna stop leveling for a while, I think I'm gonna focus on getting a Dark staff first (because resting is boring), and then Verm. I usually fish around newbie arounds when doing skillup (dunes, qufim). Being such a nice gal, I usually end up raising everyone hehe..

Ah~ Im getting off on a tangent. I can usually get 2-5 stacks of moat per hour, and that means I'll be fishing for a looong time. I guess I'm gonna hold off on the RSE belt and the Morion +1.. but I feel I need the MP from serket ring and an astral. I guess I'll hold those off for later. I need the money first. Im level 18. Does anyone have a suggested set of equipment for me? I wanna try and get an entire new set of equipment and i really need suggestions. Im a Hume so I have rather low MP and Int compared to Taru's if that influences your judgement on equipment.

you don't have too many equipment options at that level. just go for whatever you can buy at the AH...usually your choices are regular gear or HQ gear.
