It actually works great for my low lvl rdm.
I can't speak for the higher levels but right now I'm enjoying it very much.

I've actually tried this as part of an emergency chain-nuking Macro. If my party gets in trouble, I chain nuke the hell out of the mob and hope it comes after me and I run like a scardy cat...lol

Didn't work too good though, the times were all messed up and I ended up missing spells. I may try it with a defuff just to start off the battle and save Macro space. I usually use the same debuffs each battle, so I may end up trying this sometime...

I'm not going to tirade on about how stupid this is, but I can tell you that 3 Blizzard II's in a row is pretty much guaranteed to get you aggro unless you have the best of tanks.
Now to mention the other problem this horrible idea brings to the table.
What if you get aggro from the first cast and get hit.. you certainly aren't going to want the second or third to go off.. do you just run around a bunch to interrupt? sit down? Either way, you're going to have problems casting other spells with these waiting to go off.

                    Alright I'll respond to this...

First of all, to all who are reading this, DO NOT DO THIS...

ok, you are gonna waterga II burst, what because it's your strongest spell atm??

                    same thing with blizzard II?

what if you're fighting goblins? bats?
what if there are 3 other mobs near the one you're attacking?
you gonna waterga II on all of em?
what if you're blizzard II goes off during thf's fuidama and u pull aggro? you're gonna have one pissed off party

what if you're fighting undead? you gonna bio II undead? waste 66 mp?

and how does this prevent chain-nuking? you're nuking macro is exactly what that is...

                    watch tv while you level?
i don't know how to respond to that except

                    . . .

i can go on and on about how idiotic this is...frankly i don't care if you bald taru taru do it, because i've read numerous posts by you and its clear that a)you don't know how to play b)you don't care c)you are unwilling to listen to advice/make stuff up to support your own opinions.

                    someone had to say it.

to all who are reading this, DO NOT DO THIS...for the love of god...

If you don't mind me asking... Why the heck are you using burn??? LOL

Burn is useless unless you cast it on a mage type beastman... even then it's still useless since you can only have 2 BLM elemental enfeebles on at a time. I'd recommend starting with Shock >> Frost...

Not to mention BLM shouldn't have to do anything but elemental debuffs anyways...

Another qualm is Bio II.. this spell is NOT worth 66 mp. I'd rather have my RDM dia II it (Bio and Dia don't stack)

btw My macro for bursting depends on the skill chain but it looks like this

/ma "Water/Fire/Bllizard" II (depending on the chain)
                      /wait 1
                      /ja "Elemental Seal <t>
                      /p Magic Burst <t> Water/Fire/Blizzard

If elemental seal isn't cooled down then it just casts a normal burst. If I am bursting against a crawler (which is weak against ice) I leave out elemental seal and save it for an enfeeble.

That blizzard macro is a waste of time.. just macro all your 6 elemental spells and use it for each situation.

In case anyone wants to see my macros here they are.

Using Burn was the best advice in this thread.

Burn Lowers INT, lowering INT reduces resistance to elemental damage. It increases max damage on most tough mobs by about 5-10%, as well as reducing the amount of resists. And you can have more than 2 elemental debuffs on at once. (unless I missed about 8000 "wear off/no effect" messages in the past few weeks)

Lowering INT also increases the chance that Shock will land afterwards, since it is a Thunder-based spell.

My introduction to pretty much every fight is this:
                        Burn (Lowers INT)
Shock (Lands easier due to lowered INT. Lowers MND)
Choke (Lands easier due to lowered INT. Lowers VIT - more melee dmg)
Then follow with various debuffs the RDM isn't hitting & nukes. (Enfeeblement lands easier due to lowered MND)

Another qualm is Bio II.. this spell is NOT worth 66 mp. I'd rather have my RDM dia II it (Bio and Dia don't stack)
This puzzles me, as until today, I haven't seen anything to suggest Dia and Bio don't stack. They do different things (Dia lowers defense, Bio lowers attack) and I've never EVER seen one not land, or wear off when another is cast. I'd like to see evidence of this.

I'm a little hesistant to reply to this, because the first poster's awful macro advice needs to be forgotten ASAP. But on the elemental debuffs and Bio/Dia questions, there is a lot of confusion. Do a search for other threads, though be warned that many are contradictory or inconclusive. My understanding is that 1) you can stack only certain combinations of elemental debuffs, and 2) Dia and Bio will overwrite each other as you go up the spell level chain. Apparently the non-stacking/overwriting doesn't generate all the log messages you'd expect, so there's no clear indication of what spells are still active on the enemy.

My evidence is training beastmen and they cast dia and bio on me.. one overwrites the other everytime... INT is not elemental defense I'm sorry to say... MND is. When seeing how much damage a spell can produce the game uses your elemental skill. To see if the spell will be resisted it will compare your INT vs. Target's MND...

The same thing happens with elemental debuffs. I get choke, rasp, burn, shock casted on me all the time while training.. and it doesn't say anything wears off or no effect. They just overwrite each other on the status screen... I've presented my proof, where is your's?

God you guys are retards, first off of course you dont use the same damn spell for every monster, you make the macro at what ever you are hunting atm, i am huting blazer beetals so i set it to beetal macros. its common freakin sence not to burst with Ga spells if theirs monsters around so use another one, second I have never pulled aggro with the frist blizzards on beetals, due to the fact that the secondary puller does the inital pull then to set up position , at this time you are in your macro 1 then after that when you go on to cast macro 2 the main tank pulls it off of secondary. but hey if you guys feel like pushing 10 buttons a fight go for it...
