        I know it is just a little thing, but isn't it:

        Romaji-moushi wake arimasen ga, watakushi kanji ga yomimasen.

        Instead of:

        Romaji-moushi wake arimasen ga, watakushi kanji ga yomemasen.

        Yomimasu means read, so I assume its just a typo on your post. I'm not a Japanese scholar or anything like that, but I do know how to speak Japanese a little. And please, correct me if I'm wrong. I just don't want anyone confused.

          Hmm, it's hard to explain, but it is yomemasen. It's weird. When using yomimasen, it would be:
          Moushi wake arimasen ga, watakushi ha(wa) kanji [bold]wo[/bold] yomimasen.

          Which would grammatically be correct, but it would mean something a little different. It would be saying "I'm sorry, but I do not read kanji (as in you can, but you choose not to read kanji)" It becomes more of a direct thing that you control, as compared to when you use yomemasen, it becomes more of a thing that you can't help and you do not directly control.. I'm sorry, I really don't know how to explain the sentence structure well..
          .... sig....

            I don't mind being corrected. I just wanted to clear up some of the questions I had as well. Thanks for the help.

              Yomimasen = Don't Read/Spell
              Yomemasen = Can't Read/Spell

              Watashi Nihongo yomimasen = I DON'T SPEAK JPN (very rude to say this)
              Watachi Nihongo yomemasen = I CAN'T READ JPN

              Don't ever use the 1st one...

                Also another tip that will save everyone a lot of time and trouble. Watch and plan your time. If you don't have enough time to play in a party, don't start one. If someone is going to make you get off the computer / PS2 in half an hour, don't join a party.

                Also, NO GAME / ANIME / MOVIE SPOILERS in LS/public/party chat. If you wanna talk with someone about something, give them a /tell... Can't stress this enough... :mad: /has bad experiences...

                  hmm...when your pt are completed, how do you ask "where do we hunt?" not just "dokoni ikimasuka?" there are 2 kanji in it, one looks like a kanji for ranger job lol

                    "where do we hunt": gari basyou ha doko desuka?

                    literally: hunting location is where?

                    I dunno if the hiragana right, but at least it'll give u the right kanji :sweat: :sweat:

                        Yeah I really agree with this. I remember last few times when I got into some foreigner player parties, they just got out out of the party after freaking 2, 3 fights and leveled up, leaving us undable to do anything but to get the hell back to town and search for replacement.

                        Oh and... just FYI. I come across many foreigner players who always make PT which Mages Level > Warrior Class Level. As advice, NEVER make such pt. Either Mages = Warriors or Warriors > Mages or you gonna suffer during hunt.

                          Matek, tons of players do that. It happens to me all the time, even with Japanese players, but it is VERY good advice, and I thank you for it Should have known it really, but never thought about it carefully enough.
