Brutally ripping the skin off a helpless little bunny is not inheritance.

Callisto can solo bunnies. That's an accomplishment. I don't mess with those demon spawns...

FFXI, the only game where no matter how strong you are, there will always be a cute little bunny waiting to tear your face off.

Didn't they make a Monty Python and the Holy Grail game?

Actually Crabs are my natural predator. They hold TP until the one in a thousand time that I use Convert without putting up a fresh SS and/or running out of AoE range, and yeah...you can guess where that goes.

Bunnies are no problem, I distract them with Vomp Carrots on a fishing pole.

Uleguerand Range worms do have Fast Cast. Original + Zilaart worms don't.

My theory is that Original/Zilaart area worms are BLM/WHM (WHM for Stoneskin) while Uleguerand Range worms are BLM/RDM. Running some numbers I got from QC worms right now.

I've died to AM cast by pots in the Garlaige Citadel basement, so yes, pots can cast AM.

Never mind, QC worms are a perfect match for BLM/BLM mobs with D VIT and E AGI. Stoneskin is there 'cuz worms hack. Uleguerand Range worms are probably BLM/RDM but I can't check right now, have BCNM40 with some friends.

Thanks, I thought I'd seen the ones in GC basement cast AM too.

EDIT: The bit about the E AGI was a typo. It's meant to say D AGI.

I have seen Sprinklers in Sky cast AM. I duo'ed all of level 73 against a mix of Flamingos and Sprinklers, so I got a good chance to see it happen more than once.

Epic. Ok, if they test RDM Testimonies they might just be RDM/BLM since sub jobs aren't level-capped for mobs. Can they cast Gravity?

An easier test would be to check the level of magic defense bonus, ne?

Yes but I'm no caster =( The best I've got is Banish II and Holy, and I wouldn't have much of a frame of reference except maybe some bats.

EDIT: Besides, pinning down different levels of MDB would be very difficult. They're kind of close... I'd rather let them cast AM and check for Fast Cast.

I can't remember if they actually cast Gravity, hard to tell with Mysterious Light and all, I know for sure they never use White Magic debuffs though, the only debuffs I know they cast for sure are Bind, Blind, Elementals, and Poison. Also testing for MDB on them would be rough since they have something like a 50% magic damage down racial business going on anyways(learned this the hard way on COR, at first I was like 'WTF HOW AM I GETTING SO MANY 50% RESISTS??!?!!')

Again, I will have to suggest that dropping Testimonies does not indicate what jobs the monsters possess. We farmed the Skeletons in Gustav for a Drk friend who needed his Test and it drops from both War types and Blm types (DA and AMs were seen). I think it's more to do with the Mob itself then the actual Job Classes it posseses.

I'm just stating it as a possibility. Besides, that's an extremely rare exception. It's not like Testimony drops being attributed arbitrarily is the norm.

Ok, so I finally had a chance to sit down and analyze the numbers for Uleguerand Range worms. I was quite surprised. Compare:

                                Old World/Zilaart Worms:
                                BLM/BLM
                                Racial VIT rank: D
                                Racial AGI rank: D

                                Uleguerand Range Worms:
                                RDM/BLM
                                Racial VIT rank: E
                                Racial AGI rank: C

That's right. Not only do they have different jobs, they have different base stats. They might as well be considered different mobs.
