People often forget that there is the Buburimu area that is ripe for camping, and is about the same. Unfortunately, it's kind of a trial getting there. It'd be nice if S-E shortened the ferry trip between there and Selbina, or came up with some other quicker means of transportation.

Bubu has GBH's as well. On the upside, most of the 'established' camps in Bubu are away from the water.

Sorry Eticket, I didn't feel like digging up 2 pages of quotes and copy/pasting them all into my handly notepad, so that I could respond to all in turn.

First of all, I'd like to point out that I said Murhy was being an asshole, not that he is one. I'd like to make this differentiation because I think he's a fine lad, in general, and I'd like it to be known that I don't abhor him.

Second, while you're talking about me forgetting all the other posts, mayhaps you should consider what I'm arguing. Or maybe you just don't quite understand.

The point is: What's-his-face (sorry, don't remember and i'm still not going back to the early pages) told his story for no other reason than to point out that the GBHs terrorize good camps. Murphie responded with what was wrong with his party. The reason it pissed that guy off so much (I'm really sorry I can't remember your name -- lamb- something? or was that someone else?) is because it's the stereotypical response from forum elitists: Don't listen to what you have to say, instead point out what you're doing wrong. Note that I don't give a shit if his entire party is level 17 in qufim, or if he's the only level 17 and the rest are 19. It makes no difference to the point he was trying to make. He responded with irritation because he's used to that sort of treatment in all the other boards that we hate.

You want to say I'm not taking the rest of the posts into consideration, that's because they're useless (the drama ones, the On-topic posts are nice. And I post this realizing that it, itself, is utterly useless). I wish I had seen the thread right after Murphie's post so that I could've put some soothing words in, withough attacking anyone. But now you want to crucify me for hating to see someone who'll prolly go back to KI and make lolPUP jokes.

By 'rest of the posts' I meant the four or five afterwards where he clarified his party set up. (again, information that he didn't present in his 1st post). The remainder of the thread has its ups and downs, but it wasn't part of my point. Was murphie being an asshole? I could see both sides of that I suppose. Does calling him an asshole five days later do anything at all to improve the quality of the forums? No. Scream at the 'elitists' all you want. Your trolling was no better then his in that case.

Regardless I'm not crucifying anyone today as a Goblin Bounty Hunter stole my hammer. Que sera sera.

Yeah, what's up with that? People used to have a sense of humor and catch 90% of sarcasm in posts. But lately everything's been taken waaaay to seriously and out of context.


I guess we've been lacking mod prescence these days to guide posters through the turbulent waters of sarcasm and sense of humor.
