I'm out of it today now, I can't even look at the screen without being bored. Like I want to level a new job, but I can't find the job I want to level and enjoy it.

Like, my peeve, its knowing what a job is reduced to endgame and takes the fun out of the idea of getting it to 75.

Ya I was kind of diddling with the idea of lvling another mnk and smn but when I think of endgame, kind of takes the fun out of it. Lately I've been bouncing from one character to another and just can't settle on what the hell I want to do.

I enjoy the journey more than the destination. So I'm actually excited about leveling a few jobs. Still, I'll probably care more about the destination when I'm actually within reach of it.

My "end game" has been doing whatever seems clever between me and my 3 friends. And the only times I've exp'ed at all in the past 3 months has been in our small group.

Hi all, I thought I would join this forum just so I can get my rant off my chest.

So first I would like to say thank you for anyone who welcomes me.

My Peeve is all in regards to the job I have chosen to be the first to lvl 75. Summoner. I am currently lvl 56.

I have done all the lvl 20 fights, and have full compliment of Spirits.

My char is on Garuda Server, and I am getting very frustrated. I want Diablos and Fenrir, but the problmem is, ask for Prommy Holla and Mea, and the response I get.. "Thats like so old news, dont bother me", I mean thats understandable for people who have been playing the game since it got released in their region, but I have only been working on this Char for like a year. Why did SE make getting Diablos such a pain to get?

Then there is Fenrir, of which I have been told that my best chance is to change to WHM, and lvl that to 75, so I can get invites for Prime fights. Otherwise I will have to wait until lvl 65 for invites. Why cant SE make like mini fork fights for these avatars? not lvl 20, but say diablos a lvl 30 fork, and Fenrir about lvl 40?

With news that in the next couple of updates there maybe a new, maybe two, avatars, I have no double that you will most likly have to be on Whitegate mission 30+ problerly to get access to the fight, I am a casual gamer, most the time im on, im lvling.

Which brings me to the last problem with SNM, we will only ever be invite in to a party if there are no WHM arround at the right lvl. We end up just being Cure magic tanks, im Like a Taru, so at 56 I have 973MP. Due to the fact that no parties wants me to forfill the full duties of a SMN, which is Support and Damage, I get a couple of lvls, and have to go away, just keep casting avatars until my Summon Magic is Capped, and these days, the only advantage of summon magic is A: spell interuption, and B: effect BPs if you skill is over your cap.

My pat peeve is Summoner.
This is the job I have been lvling, so far 56, with aim of 16. I maybe deleveled by the time of the next post I am making. I have Full set of Spirit, and main avatars exept Diablos and Fenrir. My char is on Garuga server.

At then end of paragrah 4 add...

An RDM friend ( who has delustions that he can solo the 6 prime fights) said "I got us a Fenerir fight on Sat Night" I state the obvious, last time we tryied this we (he was WHM75 , result there us 0 - Garuda 1). He talked me into it, and there we ago, and huess what? Us 0 - Garuda 3. That was yesterday, now today, the same thing, his gonna try doing this, but it will fail. I can see now how this can be done RDM solo, maybe if he learnt how to control RDM. Not have his current min-set "Got lots of Mertit Points, we will win.

Say if he does do it, wow, but thats one 1, 5 to go before sat.

Believe it or not, there are role-players on FFXI. Very few, but they exist. And some of us even made our characters with an RP concept in mind. I'm a female, but the character I thought up just happens to be male. I'm secure enough in my gender identity that I can play a character in a video game or a character in a game of let's pretend whose gender doesn't match mine; it sounds as though not everyone can say the same, sadly.

That being said, poor word choice aside, I can't say that I'm particularly fond of boys who pretend that they're girls IRL for the sake of getting attention either. Or that I'm flattered by the usual performance. This extends past FFXI, too. I am open about my real gender if it comes up. So I do agree with you on the point you were trying to make, just not with your word choice. -- Pteryx

Apologies. The word choice was poor. I should have been specific with my peeve. I was referring mostly to those men who pretend they are female for the sake of attention. This extends to any other game that I play or have played.

To add to that peeve, however, I would like to add another. Females that believe that they deserve special treatment on the basis that they are female. Sorry, attention whoring is bad no matter what kind of flesh you have downstairs.

I guess a pet peeve for summoner for me is that i wanted to level it since i got a few pieces of SMN relic from Dynamis, but then kind of learned that they really are just reduced to Curebots and are frowned on when summoning in a party.

Honestly, people work too hard for Fame and Avatars to just be seen as a "White Mage"

Yes yes i know summoners have nothing else to do between Blood pacts and having /whm is good to throw out those -na spells and emergency cures to kind of take the burden off the white mage so they can focus on their job and hasting and all that.

But to invite me, tell me to please not summon and just to cure, im leaving. Lol.

Another pet peeve is people who cry and whine and report RMTs to GMs.

YES, I hate RMT and I hate what they do, and think they should burn in hell, but ive come to understand that THEY WILL NEVER GO AWAY.

Seriously, SE is doing all they can to ban them, and they do get banned, some come back, some don't, but they will always be there, so learn to live with it.

Although i do condone /slapping them when you pass a RMT party in Kuftal tunnel wearing lvl 1 RSE, it doesn't solve the problem, but you feel a little better inside i guess.

Theres more, i just can't be bothered to think right now, too tired.
