Drama whores. Last Sunday a boy/man by the name of Aerick on Hades(I don't even care, I'll list it) started bringing up how he thinks that the more we cast magic, the faster it should be cast because we get more profecient(sp?) at it. He mentioned Oblivion somewhere in there, so I'm assuming that's where he got the idea from. Me and several others in the LS basically tell him that's not how it goes, the skill in this game determines accuracy and effectiveness, not cast time. He basically wouldn't accept this, and started bringing up stupid analogy's to me like "If you ride a bike using training wheels, don't you eventually take them off?". We kept proving him wrong, he basically finished it with a "You will NOT make fun of me" and quit the LS.

Unless he was hungover from St. Patricks day, he quit over a stupid reason of us disagreeing with his opinion, yet he wouldn't listen to ours when we said it to him nicely. I will admit, near the end me and another were mocking the hell out of him for his ignorance, but his prior attitude did deserve it. After some drama incident that ended up with me blisting an ls member on Friday, this event ticked alot of us off and we'll basically be very cautious(hopefully) of who we let in.

If I need to go afk, or reapply buffs I'll let the party know. 600mp is a bit, but if he had to reapply pro/shell and RR thats a good chunk of the mp pool. So that might of been what he meant.

But still he was a total ass. When ever I need a breather I say hold on next pull, and make sure that the party is safe before going afk or reapplying buffs as needed. He's certainly an example of someone whom shouldn't be playing a whm.

That WHM just sounded like a purebred asshole. First, FFXI is international, people planetwide play it. You can't expect to speak in your native language and expect everyone to understand you. That's why the Auto-Translate was implemented. Second, parties can be fast-paced, sometimes, when you have something important to say, either wait until downtime between pulls, or expect to repeat yourself. Third... there is no third. That guy was just an ass. 600 MP and he needs to heal? Whatever.

Do yourself a favor, remember his name. Warn your mates and future party members against his antics. This way, his actions won't simply slide on the account that he is a WHM.

You could probably leave off the words "a whm". Is there any job in this game that wants to have this kind of person representing them?

LOL ... well put.

Well I've definitely blisted that guy, and my LS already knows about him because the BRD from the party was part of my LS and she already told them.

I will, however, refuse to party with that guy again, or even so much as ask him if he wishes to xp with me. I'd sooner main heal than invite him again.

Even after the update, people still insist upon standing in front of the MH exit in Whitegate. Idiots!!!!

When you zone out of your MH now you are placed randomly somewhere outside the MH as opposed to directly in front of the entrance. Seems to place you in an arc about 15' from the entrance now.

I'm not sure however if this random placement occurs when you are warped back to your HP. Was never a serious matter to me so I havn't paid attention as to where I'm placed after warping back.

I have two. First is probably popular, and it never happened to me until recently. But I'm a 72BLU, and a bloody good one at that. I'm not one of those n00by kiddies who spam crap and don't know what they're doing. So I was seeking, and I have JE ? as my languages, I don't put G or F because there's no autotranslate for those languages, however I'm smart enough to work out what to do/give directions from autotranslate.

JP Player>> {Do you speak Japanese?}
Me>> {I don't speak Japanese.} {Please use the auto-translate function.}
JP Player>> {I'm sorry.}
Me>> (~ n ~; )

It's so rude, I would never not invite someone because of their language. It's not fucking rocketscience to use auto translate, it's just being lazy or assuming non-JP players are all terrible.

Ok peeve number two:

Bards Vs. BLU.

I'm a BLU/THF. I stand behind the mob to SA. I will happily run to the BRD for refresh after fights.. then he goes over them in battle with melee buffs. D: I can't stand behind the PLD/tank to get it if he stands by the mages, because I have to SA. If it IS a PLD I can't ask him to swerve so the back of the mob is facing the mages, because then HE doesn't get it lol. ; ;
