You can solo play in Campaign Battles like Besieged, though without as many temp items, and the temp items aren't exactly free. And, from what I've seen in Garlaige Citadel [S] last night, having /WHM to cast Reraise on yourself is an excellent idea. >_>;

GC[S] ended over 1k Limit Points for my RDM/WHM even though I joined mid battle and mostly just cured NPCs (and died twice) with some minor nuking and enfeebling. A PLD/WHM who was actually killing critters received 1.6k+. We lost the battle--maybe we'd have gotten more if we won?

Don't go AFK near CB's fighting area; the critters won't aggro you without Allied Tag, but AoE will kill you all the same. x_x;

Campaign Battle is S-E's answer to "No one wants us in merit parties! We can't get exp buffer after Dynamis!" No need to get a party, just teleport to where you want to fight, and grab an Allied Tag. No more excuses for PLDs and sack-pulling THFs not to go to Dynamis on those jobs because they couldn't get an exp buffer.

New pet peeve #1: Getting invited to Imps parties without refresher as Paladin--then the leader put a single White Mage in the back line, and fill the remaining slots with DDs.

Why not add a SMN along with the WHM? (Earthen Ward--has anyone heard of it?!) Put a BLU/WHM so we can have Diamondhide? Get a BLM/WHM to cover healing when WHM gets low? Heck, do a old-time three back line job party? Geez.

New pet peeve #2: Don't Provoke when the Eruca just Incinerated me. You mean well, but odds are I'll live, and your Provoke won't do turn it unless you're directly in the line-of-sight of the mages.

Old pet peeve #1: If you're going drop a Warcry + big WS at the start of the fight right in between my first Flash and first Provoke, have your 6 copy images ready from Utsusemi: Ichi x2--you just volunteered to tank.

Oh, since I didn't get a Refresher and the puller was "keeping chain", I spent 25 out of my remaining 40 MP on Flash, and used Sentinel two fights ago so recast timer is not up, yet. WHM ran dry last fight, and just ate a cookie. There is no MP to cure you with, and you're not behind me for Cover. Good luck.

Old pet peeve #2: You're WHM and have Flash? Go ahead--use it. Not going to kill you, and will save us both MP. It's good for more than those paper-armor NINs. I appreciate it when a WHM do Flash rotation with me. m(_ _)m

I was actually in an excellent party in the mire last night on WHM, they actually invited a refresher for me and the PLD. I know, I'm still recovering from the shock of it, both a WHM and a PLD in the same party with an actual refresh setup. We got 30k xp in 2.5 hours, too. ^_^

I have to agree with so many of these, shocking how many of us share similar pet peeves.

The one I came across today really burned my tail.

I had retired for about a year + to take a break. Finally came back to the game *yay* , all friends have apparently moved on, and the LS I was in at the time has broken up. I get a tell from a new member that has joined the LS just prior to my leaving. Asked me how I was doing and up to... then asked if he could borrow some gil >.>

so... gil beggars. pet peeve #1 for me.

OH! OH! I have a similar peeve about people asking for gil! (And this is in NO WAY a reflection on you Michiko, your post just sparked this one! I do NOT mean you did this.) How about when you make a friend in game and they decide to quit. They rant and rave about how much the game sucks and "X" game is so much better and they are never coming back to this s***ty game...yadda yadda yadda. So they give you all their gil or items (that you sell for gil) and then they come back to the game and tell you to give it back. I don't mean ask you if you can spare some gil, I mean "I need ALL my stuff/gil back NOW." attitude. Yes, personal experience on this one and I couldn't give it back because I didn't have it and now the person hates my guts and runs around lying to people about me. With so many people leaving and coming back, there has to be more people with this unfortunate experience.

Been levelling SCH with my girlfriend's DNC. We did Nest Beetles in CN, you know that camp that supports two PTs just fine.

Of course, the leader of the other PT had to make it known to everyone in my PT - myself mainly - that we were "stealing" thier camp. He checks my LS pearl and says "And to think I had LBR on my Favorites List,"

Because one mage healing the "rival" represents an entire linkshell and website, especially when he's in a camping in a place that supports two PTs. And so I ask him, "Are you putting down the other LS pearls in my PT on your little list?"

"Yes."

O.o Wow. So their LSes are all heartless camp-stealers, too.

And of course, taking the high road, he goes back to Jeuno to equip his THF and come kill all the Beetles. Too bad he announced his "revenge" and arrived just about two minutes after we had planned to disband anyway. Oh noes, he's coming to ruin the EXPs! We'd so never see EXP again >.>;

He's the first on Odin to get my blacklist. I don't blacklist many people, either. Getting on my blacklist means you're someone I won't consider for a merit PT and given he's a THF that counts his merits in his bazaar comment, he must not get very many of those.

Side Peeve:

Why the hell is it always gotta be the mage or the BRD or COR that gets all the damn tells in a PT. If you want in a PT or want to discuss something, why do you pick the jobs in the PT that have the busiest jobs? Go as the DRG with the high delay weapon, he has time on this hands. If I talk to you, someone might die, so piss off >.>;

Lol i know exactly what you mean. I've seen a few 'friends' do this a couple of times. Even had one who said he was quitting, gave me some gil. Which at the time I was working on getting my Lu shang so bought all the moat carpies from the cities. Then they come back a year later, stating they wanted to sell their character/account for RL cash and asked me if i could pay them back they money they gave me O.o

Sounds like we both meet some of the strangest people.

I do the same with Gear . I still have my boyfriend's gear all tucked away on a mule in case he comes back. Same with my bst duo partner who left just prior to my leaving last year.

Same, but its more on the line of my gift policy for out of game. Keep always, never discard no matter what. Be like throw away a gift, you basicly think the giver is trash =x

When someone is adamant that they are NOT returning to the game EVER, I think its safe to sell the gear and use the money for other purposes. If I were going to quit and I was unsure if I'd ever come back then I would leave all my stuff on my character and activate my account every 3 months and just use that month to get on and chat with old friends to see whats up. Then if I did want to come back it would all be there. But if I give all my stuff to someone and delete my character, then I have no right to ask for that stuff back. I can politely ask if they aren't using any of it could I have it but to DEMAND that someone give me back a gift is beyond rude!
