We're a good group, we just have the errant noob aggro the death house in Windy from time to time. -.- That's a minus 3 points offense though, so it doesn't happen often, though when it does you find a lot of people scrambling to get back their xp buffers.

Today's Pet peeve: Turtle Soup.

That was today's cooking guild item. I already had some Danceshrooms and Chicken Bones on a mule. So I thought, hey I can just fish up some Red Terrapin and I'm set. After spending about 30 minutes fishing up Red Terrapin in West Ronfaure, I notice that the recipe calls for Acorns.

I must have had Chestnuts and Acorns confused. Chestnuts are always on sale from an NPC in Sandy. There is no known seller of Acorns. According to wiki, Acorns are "very common" when Chocobo Digging in several zones, including both Ronfaures. So I grab some stacks of gysahl greens.

One hour and almost 10 stacks of gysahl greens later, I finally get my 5th Acorn. I shudder to think what I would have to go through for an item that's not "very common". I feel like shooting someone at this point.

That recipe is a bitch indeed. Chicken bones are usually the problem item for me.

The THFs don't need to melee anything, I think. As long as they do something (e.g. Hyoton: Ichi) to the monster, or something to anyone who's done anything to the monster (go /WHM and Cure/Curaga), TH should be in play.

I don't know what you do for a living yellow mage, but I lived in Wyoming for most of my life....do some serious job hunting before you move that way. Have something lined up. There are three basic levels of living in the SouthWest areas.

1)Dirt poor - Take a job at the local gas pump and soda sales store...

2)Moderately poor - Your probably making $12 an hour. You can actually live off of this if you don't ever want anything more for yourself.

3)You own a business - Money depends on where you are and what you do....


....then there are the other people in Southwest Wyoming. The miners. Trona miners to be presice. Pay is good. But last I checked you needed a college education to get a job working underground in the cold, stink, dust, and mud.

You all know what I mean: those princesses who think they're all that, and absolutely nothing's their fault, even though everything usually is.
