Re: claiming test... doesn't seem to change ?

That's really strange. Flash seems to work for pld's I've pted with. Also, I can steal hate from mobs chasing someone (i.e. they accidently got agro) by shooting an arrow at it. And the arrow missed.

Not only is the claiming system buggy, but the distance at which you can claim stuff with has been changed (or is buggy)

I was duoing by myself on coffer key mobs in Eldieme. A Tomb Warrior popped and after a couple of seconds I hit voke. Red message popped up saying that I was too far to claim. WTF? I was standing no further than two Galkan bodies away when I hit voke. I went up closer and no dice. I went far away this time and hit voke ... and it worked. This was about a total of 8 seconds or so after it popped on my screen.

Then another time was when I claimed a Robber Crab in Kuftal Tunnel later on. I voked on it and it got claimed. It hit me for a few damage and I started running to my camp (Was killing them for my Sword of Trials >_> ) Not a few steps later, it stops and depops.

        WTF ...

Then during the night in Kuftal Tunnel, I get to watch these two NINs in AF do this all night ...

Train Robber Crabs through Guivre's parade area (Where Amemit pops) ... during the night, NIN AF gives NIN a lot of movement speed. This train of Robber Crabs (Usually no less than 5 and sometimes 10) would just suddenly stop after the NINs has passed through and depop.

Not sure if they were players testing this new claim system and depop system, but man, I was wondering why they were running maintenance today when I thought about all these weird glitches.

I was recently pulling mandies in yuhutthingy jungle and was losing claim on the longer pulls. If I didn't get it back, the mob would despawn. I guess I need to land more hate to pull now.. good thing i'm still an {Amateur} {Fisherman} so I can learn the new system from the start.

            Regarding Jei's case 4...

Not that long ago, a gob aggro'd someone (so gob is unclaimed) and is hitting that person. I cast Dia on the gob. The gob came over to me and started hitting me but remained unclaimed. The gob only became claimed after I started meleeing it.

According to Xylia's thread on aggro, curing the aggroee shouldn't have caused the goblin to turn to Jei. And if aggro produces zero hate, my Dia should've claimed my goblin.

It would seem then from these two cases that mere aggro now represents some measure of hate from the mob and that my Dia was not enough to overcome it (although it was enough for the mob to start hitting me instead!)

May as well link this thread too. If you've encountered something you feel to be a bug or simply a bad design that should be changed, visit this thread for information on contacting SE with feedback or a bug report.
