I've done Garuda's and Ifrit's so far and they are such a pain to do, I'm on shiva's one now.
I'm seriously thinking building a Nirvana would of been easier lmao.

Hi all, been away from the site for a while but i'm still around.

Finally finished my Leviathan staff for smn. it's an accomplishment...thoses staves are rough...
and now to start on Garuda or Ramuh :/

Oh...also been hardcore BLU-ing it lately. The job is pretty fun.

2 weeks ago i was lvl 14 Blu with aobut 6 spells, now i'm 99 blu with 123/157 spells.

If - and I do mean if - I were to ever come back and start over, I would want my new character to be exactly the same as my old. Same mission completion, same quest completions (which would be hard to verify, but I'd figure it out for the most part), same gear. Which includes really expensive shit. I would want the character to be as close as possible to my old character. Yes, I know that leveling to 99 means that all of my old gear would be obsolete. I would still want it. All of it. Even my signed Aristocrat's.

Even if I managed to get all that, it wouldn't be the same. I just don't have the heart to do all that a second time. And honestly, I'd know it wasn't the original Aks. That's enough for me.

I only ever spend gil on spells. WHM Spells, BLM spells, COR dice, PUP "attachments", BRD, songs... etc.

The only GEAR I've spent money on in the past 3 years has been those Hermes Sandles, the THF hat I recently got... and probably 1 or 2 things I needed for SMN the Ifrit MaB ring comes to mind. Besides that... all my gear is AF1, AF2, Empyrian or Rare/Ex drops from Abyssea/VW/Salvage/Limbus.

Well, I mean that when I did play it years ago, I didn't have enough money to even buy gear to appease people enough to get into parties. I DID do some BCNM's or whatever they were called, with some people. My group members ended up getting Utsusemi: Ni twice a piece, while I ended up receiving nothing. Which was sad, because I used up all of my seals for that. >:I

Gil hardly means anything at all these days. Anything purchasable is also questable or obtainable by your own means if you're willing to put in the time and effort to go for it. Also: Many of the current events spit various kinds of currancy at you that are worth something if you're willing to bazaar them.

Alternatively... ignore gil completely and just have fun with the game! I'm broke in game... and I have been for a long time. Any time I get any gil at all... I spend it on something I really want right away.

Last time, I dumped 350k into Bard Songs. The time before that... 250k into Corsair Dice I NEVER USE AND PROBABLY NEVER WILL. The time before that... Hermes Sandles (needed them.... for vanity). The time before that, I bought a whole bunch of Automoton Attachments.

Just have fun with it.

OH!!!! And if you never plan on leveling up WHM or BLM... and I mean EVER... you can quest for their spells and sell those on the AH for some really good money. Teleport, Retrace, Warp, Warp 2, Sleepga, Sleepga 2 and even Recall spells all sell for TONS. I'd say in grand total something close to 6-7million.

My highest level was like... 68 Drg. I never could get enough gil to do anything though.
