Seiryu + Byakko strategies?

My LS tonight killed both Seiryu and Suzaku for our first times. While Suzaku was very easy (all 3x), Seiryu we got completely wiped one time (DRK attacked during shadowbind on 2hr ><), and on the second time we got hurt pretty badly, losing a lot of people. Does anyone have a good working strategy for Seiryu? NIN tank better than PLD?

Also we want to try Byakko soon, but I hear he can really be tough. I have no idea how to fight him, so I need a strategy for him if anyone has any.

a nin or 2 with brd can pretty easily blink byakko. for seiryu have nin tank, and either have pld counter 2hr or bind and run. if your drk is hitting during bind then that needs to be fixed eh? seiryu seems to use paralyze a lot more so you need fast acting mages to paralyna the right people.

our strategy with byakko is kill it quick with melee

what we do is we bring as many melee as possible (at least 15) to the byakko fight and everyone gets 300% tp

then when we go in, all melee unleash their ws (with the goal of making DARK CHAINS byakko either heavily resists or is cured by light) and continue beating him to death. all mages (or at least those not in the alliance) are outside the alliance and heal tanks and whoever asks for cure.

we can kill byakko in about 10 minutes, but speed is our goal to killing him.

as for seiryuu... rngs are the most important for SHADOWBIND, especially during his 2 hour. also, bsts help immensely (surprise surprise) with charm since it binds mobs if it doesn't land. as for tanking... i don't know what we do for tanks... i haven't been on many seiryuu runs with my ls so you'll have to forgive me.

NIN != evade

NIN = -% of psycal damage taken.

NIN can solo tank Byakko with earth staff, arhats, and Genbu Helm, ect.

Arcknight's ProTip: Fight Byakko on Darksday.
Makes him really, REALLY easy. Yes, Darkness renkeis are good. If you have a ninja tanking, make sure he can hold hate. This isn't much of a problem with a paladin tanking.

dont fight byakko with nin tank...set up a party with like 2 plds + healer + smns! smns are the key, spam aeriel armor on the pld. Most of the time ninja will get owned by byakko.


I find seiryu easy if you can stick the shadowbinds ^^

Byakko is not as people say, if you have the right jobs you can kill him with 0 deaths in about 4 minutes... And on the chart of hardness its more like like Genbu > Byakko > Seiryu > Suzaku.

Reason for this is people usualy dont disengage the Seriyu and Suzaku 2hr.

for PLD we usualy use this setup to quickly their the shit out of Byakko. 5 a night with flawlness kills

You must have a thrower to throw East Wind to make him easy becuase without his En-light he is very weak!

We also have couple mages healing from outside but its pretty simple.

NIN tank's are very possible but its much easier with good PLD.

Ninjas can tank Byakko. Paladins can tank Byakko. Find out what works for you. I could post videos of paladins tanking it, as well as ninjas, but i'm not sure if i'm allowed to or not ;x

Half the fun in hnm fights is working out a strat yourself in my opinion..

if you find suzaku and seiryu because your members break shadowbind, time to ( Looking for Members. ) and /pcmd kick the ones that are.

Anyway im sure byakko can be straight blinked by NIN, but I think the most forgiving and safest route is dual PLD with dual SMN, essentially blink tanking.. just alot of defence and HP to back em up if they fuck it.

Ninja with kabuto, double minne, earth staff, vit rings, arhat's /osode etc takes a surprisingly little amount of damage.. :sweat:

My NIN setup is basically all based 100% god set along with BQ ring and Jelly Ring. I have tried this on gods and it works great, but I prefer going on RNG and having PLD tank it so I can go all out.
