I am completely against these gilsellers. However, the recent occurrences with the pricing of items has to start begging a few questions:

Yes, these gilsellers are bad, but why are prices going that high? Even if they monopolize a spawn for an item (Archer Rings, Ochuido's Kote, etc.), someone out there is paying the price for these items. That means there are people with that kind of money who don't care that the price is rising, no? If noone buys the overpriced Archer Rings (to make Sniper's Rings) or Ochuido's Kotes in the first place, wouldn't all that happen be that these items would consistently be returned back to the gilsellers?

Therefore, it's not just the gilsellers that are at fault here in my opinion. People are willing to pay the prices for this, either because they don't care, give up and pay the price, or they themselves buy the gil to pay for it. Either way, for any market to exist for these gilsellers, there must be willing buyers, and there certainly appears to be.

Simply a week of people refusing to buy these overpriced items at the price gilsellers set would indeed drive the prices back down. But no, instead, non-gilsellers ALSO raise their prices dramatically....

In any case, I'm rambling uselessly, I'll send a complaint thingy too.

To suggest that everyone unites to not buy all of these items, is a little extreme. Obviously someone is paying for them, what else are you supposed to do? Camp it?...Fuck that.

Basically iv come to a conclusion about Ragnarok/FFXI in general...You either have to cheat/buy gil/bot in order to make money or get items. And that is a little ridiculous, and im sure many people will start leaving the game..

I see new players all the time, I talk to some about DRK and such, and I feel so sorry for them. Do you remember how hard it was to make money as a lowbie, even when prices were reasonable back then? Now make it about...10x more expensive, and 100x more hard to camp or farm..Imagine just starting a job and needed 2x Sniper rings, being a somewhat new player..Oh, thats only about...1,700,000..How the fuck is someone supposed to come up with that sort of money, as a noob?

Thats why EVERYONE should send in a complaint and threaten SE that they are going to quit and go to their competition whether it be WoW or EQ2. If enuff of us do this, then SE will see that they will be loosing more paying users than there are paying gil sellers and finally and quite quickly do something about it.

I have had my share of time with the gilsellers in Kor Tunnel..I had been camping the worm to get the morion for my BLM..and Ive met many BLMs who are there also to camp this to USE not to make a profit.. I was lucky at the time I camped cuz only Xioadidi and chinesgrl where there..those 2 dumbasses where easy to beat..I got my morion and a friend one also..Recently I have tried to go back to help another friend out..It is now impossible its now the damn gilseller unemployment line. Each ??? is camped and botted..Screw this gilseller shit! No matter where you go theres always a few of them there and to top it off they all speak Chinese! WTF?!?!

Spoke with another GM.
First time a few months back i asked a GM directly on the matter they played stupid and in question as to whether gilselling and those who farm gil to sell online realy exsist. This last GM expressed that he too is concerned as he's a player on another server and that Square Enix is actually indeed working on this situation at the moment but that "this is a complex situation that won't be solved over night" but he assured me they will take legal action if necessary since the selling of anything from the game is "illegal". I don't expect the economy to bounce back right away at any time, nor do i expect all gilsellers to dissapear anytime soon, but this did actually give me a bit of hope that this situation would eventually die down a bit.

The items price will only go down when players leave the game, as long as pple are playing the games and these pple buys cheap gils, equips price will only go up, never down. All I see is pple are buying uber equips that they dun really need. and they dun intend to camp them. Gilbuyers and gilsellers are both spoiling the game. The other way SQ can do to create many more RA/EX equips that are way more uber than these "speculated" items.

That's exactly the point. Everyone is so quick to blame the gilsellers when the gilBUYERS are equally to blame. When you add easily obtainable money into the marketplace, it inflates the price of everything.

For those of you who wish to play fair, you should be equally pissed off at those who buy gil just as much as those who sell it.

Sadly it's getting just as bad on Bismarck;; Tried camping Keeper of Halidom and was harrassed by some chinese gil farmer the entire time. Kote, Amemet, Archers, Signa, Emperor, Phantom, Morion, and honestly I'm not gonna be suprised when I see them start to camp HNM and or Gods in Tu'lia. Email sent~

Omfg its just ludicris(sp?) at first I thought it was tolerable that was like before the end of summer, they only farmed places like Delfutt. Now their farming everything that legit players are farming, camping everthing that we do, but their doing it in mass numbers and harassing us at the same time, then up the prices little by little untill they turn out like sniper ring prices, the irony is the people buying things like sniper rings now are mostly the ones buying the gil...Or just rich people :x

Its nice to know SE are working on it though, I hope they sue IGE and all those other gilselling companies for everything they've got.

The prices will hopefully go down even a little bit, afterwards because if they get rid of the sellers then maybe alot of the buyers might quit because they can't get their easy gil...
