Thanks far, I saw the footage and uh damn... such a long battle

seems the weight of this battle really was ALL on the bard. Keeping stuff asleep (maybe finding the right angle before using the area lullaby everytime) and using the right songs at the right time, ballad, finale.

It's from POV of BLM on PC version or something, apparenlty using mainly keyboard and few macros (what a headache onscreen).

Bard started off with his 2hour->lullaby area

THe BLM only used blizzard and blizzard2, both of which do such little damage especially on the magic using yags.. But because he stuck to small spells, sleepel spells and cure3 all he needed was yagudo drinks, no ethers.

From what I see first thing BLM did was start with sign->freeze on the WHM yag which of course did little dmg. Then alternated between blizzard2/cure3 on someone and sleepel2 and sleep.

So if I'm getting this right, they targetted WHM yag first, which does its 2hour near death. WHM yag had insane defense, and apparently the time the party spent while entering, the yags also had time to "prepare themselves" with songs and spells. Scary. Next was BLM yag. Apparently nobody bothered with silence.

When BARD was near death due to hate, the WHM did his 2hour. No holding out. I think this is the best strategy I saw. WHM got a ton of hate for a while, so everyone else had to cure of course. The BRD did lullaby once again right after the WHM's 2hour. I think this is one of the many lucky breaks the battle had.. I think the THF or someone did surprise->blame in hope to transfer hate but it didn't work, so pld THEN did invincible.

Also everyone kept moving about so you can tell easily what is awake.

Man.. seems nearly all Yags did their 2hour as well..

The BLM apparently was carrying extra items for the WHM (ethers? since those are more important to keep the whm going non stop) and instead of failed trading during battle, the BLM opened a bazaar o_O

Another thing, I noticed the BLM carried the "cure silence" item, which is good in case one of the mage yags do it on a mage. He also had a high elixir (which he put on bazar for the WHM who got beats).

The WHM and BRD seem to trade hate most of the time curega->lullaby, along with the PLD. Keeping pld's hp up didn't seem to be a priority for mages, they often left him to cure himself or left him with low hp, and worked on keeping bard and whm alive.

Oh yeah, the BLM for sure did gob bag quest, something else I'd recommend. he had liek 50 slots..

(>_<) Grim.. Some of us Troopers are itching for the 99 coin fight. Last time they tangled, got killed in 5 min. I have more than 50 so collecting more.. I think another LS member is close to 99 so he's gathering up victims.. er I mean volunteers :sweat: The problem is, our highest level bard doesn't wear the LS anymore for some reason Wishing you guys the best, and hope you nail those lil fuggers

Here's an interesting strategy I read in a Japanese board. 5 out of 6 members sub Beast. This PT supposedly had an easy time. I heard from someone that even at LV 1 BST, you can still control monsters. It s up to you to try but it sounds reasonable to me. If the battle is easier than all that is left is luck of the drop and Lot. It would also be good to prepare Yagudo drinks and High Portions for the group going with you.
