Sorry, I missinterpreted what you were saying and on that point I completely agree with you.

On a side note though, a good Ranger who is "dedicated to the job" and puts in the effort is absolutly amazing. I've partied with a fair few Rangers but only a handful were amazing. Last week a Taru Ranger I was with hit 240ish with a few of her abilities and jsut a normal arrow. Insane.

Yes that is true. A RNG with good equipment can make a DRKs damage look sad anyday. I was PTing with one in high 30?fs and not only did he hit the monster 2x as much as me, he was doing about 50% more damage than I was. I still believe RNG is the most destructive job but then you got all the other downfalls like not compatible with renkeis, can?ft wear armor, can?ft really taunt, expenses, ect.

Yes, I will attempt RNG/SAM at lv60 and see how well it works compared to RNG/WAR. Although my SAM is only lv28 right now (I'm also trying to get my THF to 25 to earn some money camping NMs :sweat

As for the expense for being a Ranger vs performance, that is very true. Although I have to say, if a ranger can stick it out to lv50+, most likely they're "dedicated" (most rangers probably give up at lv35 or so, lol) To give you an idea of what kind of money I spend per PT: I'll use about 2-3 stacks of silver bullets (depending if the attack strength of the PT is strong enough (we chain exp175-192 enemies), if it's strong enough I'll use more arrows than bullets), and about 7+ stacks of iron arrows.

And the prices are: Silver bullets (about 9000g per stack in AH), and iron arrows (3500g per stack sold in stores). You can do the math Usually I'm quite satisfied with the PTs I'm in so it's kind of worth it

And as for renkei incompatibility, after lv60 things will get better. MNK, WAR, DRK, RNG can mix around their ws200 skills and do the "decomposition" renkeis.
