First for me Genbu is not considered as a HNM from his power view. he his as weak as as new NM 3 ppl can kill it. and yes 1 Drk/nin could do good damage on him, bcz he is not strong. so plz let's go back to the VRTRA subject.

I am just stating that from my battles with every HNM besides Apsi, which is the weakest of them all. DRKs are just mainly used for Stun which can easily be fixed with a RDM/DRK or BLM.

Also with DRKs being able to do the most damage on HNM is a pure lie. If you are basing it off the video of the DRK vs Turtle. The Chainspell took it down 75% and then the DRK, even though he did do the damage fast took it down the last 25%. If you do sub NIN you might have a chance to live after your all out attack. But I would much rather prefer a BLM or RNG in damage output. Also a BLM can also stun which kinda puts the DRK on the backburner. I have seen damage output on all HNMs with DRK, and myself see no reason to have them in the PT besides to stun. Which is only useful on God HNMs.

Yeah, you shadowbind it and run away, if your LS isn't full of morons, you should be able to pull it off 100% of the time. Also having a DRK up front to stun the first spell is very helpful as it gives people time to run away so they dont get lagbombed with Firaga III

His 2hr is Charmga, have fun with that.

The mobs that pop around Vrtra aren't really that bad. One exp party can deal with that. Repops are pretty slow also.

Vrtra himself isn't really that bad either. He seems to have less HP than Tiamat (we haven't tried the ice one yet). And uhh, levi seems to kick his ass pretty well.

Main problem with Vrtra is the mobs he smns. They're about the same as the exp mobs around him, but their are a couple things that make them diffrent. I don't want to spoil the fun of you guys finding out, so you'll see it when you attempt him >:D

Not very far. We've done it a couple times, mainly just running test on it, see what's good and what isn't.
