OOC: Ha ha, as a senior, I love the FCAT, 'cause I get to stay in my favorite computer class for most of the day. I wish we had FCAT every day. ^^ And even when I had to take it, it was still easy as hell. :p Anyway, enough digression from the journal. :sweat: I'm about to go on the game, and when I get off, I'll hopefully be able to work on an update and have it up by tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone who's been reading my journal, and sorry for not having an update sooner. Not many noteworthy things happenening lately, and so I haven't gotten many good shots. But I do have a little to hold you over for now. :p

Okay, so like I said a few days ago, Wilber and his fianc鬟Celes, escorted me to Jeuno. While I was exploring there, I was talking to almost everyone I saw. I overheard these two children talking, a Tarutaru and a Galka. I felt immense pity for both the Tarutaru and his beastman friend Fickie. I know now that not all beastmen are bad, and I feel really bad for the ones that aren't. No one one trusts them, just because of the actions of the rest of their race.



After wandering through the town some more, I saw this female Hume named Renik. She was hot, so I took a pic. :sweat: (Wilber said she was just "okay"... I think he just didn't want me telling Celes that he was looking at other women, though :p)



Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of the Ra'Lude Gardens, which sits at the top of Jeuno. It was quite a beautiful place... I'll try and some pics next time I go. I even visited the home of the Archduke of Jeuno, Kam'lanauut (don't know if I spelled that right :confused: ) and his brother Eald'narche. The Auroral Palace was huge.

Anyway, after awhile, I left Jeuno and headed back home to Windurst. The next day, I decided I needed more training as a Thief. I made my way to the Buburimu Penninsula, and found two people, a Black Mage and a White Mage, to join me. We decided to head to the Valkurm Dunes to train, and took the boat from Mhaura to Selbina to get there. To pass the time while travelling to Selbina, I took out my Bamboo Fishing Rod and started fishing. I didn't catch anything, though.



In Selbina, we met up with some other people who joined us, including my friend Tajianna from my linkshell. We tried fighting a Beach Pugil, but it was too strong for us. It killed our Black Mage and White Mage, and the Black Mage decided to head back to his home point, which was all they way back in Windurst.



We found a White Mage able to cast a Raise spell on our White Mage, though, and we then proceeded to fight Goblins and Snippers for awhile. Eventually it got late, and I decided to head back to Selbina for some rest. The next day, I heard from someone that there was rumor of a notorious Orc deep in the Ghelsba Outpost that had a pair of rare baghnakhs. I decided to head out and try to kill the Orc and get them. Here I am running through the beautiful scenery of the Ronfaure area just outside San d'Oria on my way to Ghelsba.



I made it to Ghelsba not much later, and made my way to where I had heard the Orc dwelled. Unfortunately, on the way, I slipped and fell into a river. While trying to find a way out, I was assaulted by a group of Orcs, and while I managed to hold them off for awhile, I eventually fell. Fortunately, I had used a scroll of Instant Reraise beforehand, and I got back up. However, there were still Orcs all around, and I needed a good place to hide. Eventually, I decided to hop back into the river while I waited for my Raise sickness to wear off. It did, but before I could even get a chance to heal, I was assaulted by some weak Ghelsba Pugils. I fought them off without a problem and continued to rest in an attempt to regain my strength. However, every time I thought I was about back to full strength, I was assaulted my more Pugils and Orcs.



I tried to escape the fort, but I got hopelessly lost, and to make things worse, there were Orcs and Pugils chasing me almost the whole way. I used my Perfect Dodge ability, hoping to buy some time, and sure enough, I found a way out of the river, and I managed to escape the fort, albeit not in the best of shape (OOC: I only had 28 HP when I got out :dead: ). I trudged back to San d'Oria, made my way to my Rent-a-Room, and plopped down on my bed, exhausted from the day's ordeals.

When I woke up the next day, Difinity contacted me, telling me that she and Komeu had gotten engaged! I knew she liked him, but wow. Dispite how jealous I was of Komeu (:p), I was very happy for both of them. ^^ And guess what? Difinity asked me to be her bridesmaid! ^__^ I was so honored. Apparently, Wilber's going to be Komeu's best man, too. I knew he would be; they've been good friends for a long time, and in fact, it was through Wilber that Difinity met Komeu.

Anyway, I decided to go back home, so I headed back to Selbina and took the boat back to Mhaura. There were a lot of experienced adventurers on the boat, and most of them were, like me, fishing to pass the time. I think this one adventurer, who was wearing fishing gear, was kinda crazy. She kept casting her line onto the boat instead of into the water. :confused:



The trip home to Windurst was uneventful. Thankfully, Komeu was talking to me on the linkshell to keep me company on the trip home. He's a real nice guy (and lucky, too :p). He also said he'd train as a Dragoon with me later. (OOC: He's a lvl 18 Dragoon) At the moment, he was training as a Samurai, as he finished the quest to become one last night. (OOC: We're both gonna try to get to level 20. I can't wait; I need my chocobo license.)

OOC: Okay, some good news and some bad news. I'll start with the bad. I just got an e-mail from my image host saying that I'm approaching my bandwidth limit for the month. If my badwidth limit is exceeded, direct linking to my images will be disabled for the remainder of the month. I'm currently looking into finding an free image host that provides more bandwidth than the one I'm using now (which gives me 3,500 MBs a month). The only problem with that is that I'll have to re-upload all my images to that host and then go into all my posts and edit all the links to get them to show up again, which could take quite awhile. Well, at any rate, I'll try and get this problem fixed, so don't you all worry.

The good news is I'm currently writing my next journal entry, and it happens to be the biggest one yet! ^^ It should be up within about an hour, so look forward to it!

Well, I think this may be this biggest update yet. A lot happened recently. It all started with a trip to the Auction House in Windurst Woods. I was there putting a few things up for bidding, when who should I run across but Komeu! He invited me to come fishing with him and Difinity, and naturally, I agreed. ^^



Almost right away, I caught a moat carp! ^_^ Then Difinity caught one, and then Komeu did too. We thought it must be a good day for fishing, but after that, we didn't catch anything. But then, Veteran (OOC: Veteran is another of Nibiyabi's characters) contacted us through our linkshell and asked if we wanted to join Hasame and him in Tahrongi Canyon for some training. Having no luck at fishing, we agreed and headed out. Veteran being a relatively new adventurer, Difinity and I went with our subjobs (Difinity's sub is White Mage), while Komeu came as a Samurai, since he was still new with it. After a little preparation, we headed out. I decided to head a different way than Komeu and Difinity (and give them some "alone time" ), and we met up near the entrance to Tahrongi Canyon from East Sarutabaruta.



Doesn't Difinity look hot in that outfit? *giggleblush* Erm... anyway... we then headed towards the entrance to Buburimu Penninsula, where Veteran, Hasame, and another adventurer named Malgrim that they had recruited while waiting for us were waiting. Here's a shot of us after we met up:



We started with our training, Hasame going out to find sufficiently tough monsters and leading them over to us to fight. Here's a few battle pics:




Eventually, Difinity had to go, and soon after, I did too. It was fun while it lasted though. ^^ I headed back to Windurst for a good night's rest, waking up the next morning and finding Wilber at the Auction House. He had promised to escort me to Bastok a few days ago, so I decided to hold him to that promise. Just outside Windurst's gates, Wilber decided to show me a new ninjutsu spell he had picked up (he's such a showoff :p).



It's too bad that two people can't fit on a chocobo; our trip would've gone much faster. But alas, I don't have my chocobo license yet, so I can't ride my own. So, on foot, we made our way through East Sarutabaruta, Tahrongi Canyon, and Buburimu Penninsula to Mhaura, where we took the boat to Selbina. The trip was uneventful, as always, and we made our way out of Selbina and through the Valkurm Dunes. On our way though the dunes, we had to walk through this dark, narrow cave.



After passing through, we walked a bit more, and eventually reached the Konschtat Highlands. This place was like one giant farm, complete with windmills; it was very pretty. ^^ Here's a few pics:





Eventually, we reached the southern end of the highlands, which was a somewhat maze-like set of paths very reminiscent of the south end of Tahrongi Canyon. I got bored, and started poking Wilber. XD



Leaving the pretty scenery of the Konschtat Highlands, we entered the barren region surrounding Bastok known as Gustaberg. It was pretty in its own way, but at the same time, kinda depressing. : /



However, there was one extremely beautiful piece of scenery, as anyone from Bastok can tell you: the Drachenfall.




Wilber said that of all the places he's been in his life, this is his favorite. I could see why... it was very beautiful, though it didn't have the same effect on me that it seems to have on others; I still think I've seen some prettier scenery. This did rank near the top of my list though. ^^ Difinity tells me that Komeu is going to take her here for their honeymoon. He can be quite romantic sometimes. ^^ (not as much as me, though, I bet )

Anyway, so after taking in the scenery, Wilber and I continued on towards the Republic of Bastok. Here's a few shots I took of the scenery:




It was pretty impressive, and again, pretty in its own way. It was a little too.... grey for my tastes, though. I still like San d'Oria and Windurst better (Windurst being by far my favorite, and not just 'cause I grew up there). I wandered around the town, exploring and talking to people, helping who I could (because I just love helping people ^^). I also visited the Windurstian Consulate, taking the next part of the mission I took from Heaven's Tower. After hearing what I was to do, though, I decided that I'd put it off until I was stronger. At one point, while I was wandering around the town, a fellow adventurer asked me if I wanted to join his party, who were training with their subjobs in the Konschtat Highlands. I agreed, had the War Warlock in the Windurstian Consulate cast Signet on me (I like to help out my nation in the Conquest campaign as much as possible ^^), then headed out to meet them. I didn't get any pics of us actually fighting anything, but here's a shot of us just before we were beaten badly by a particularly strong Onyx Quadav. :dead:



After our defeat, I told them I was done for the day, then I headed to my Rent-a-Room and went to sleep for the night. And that's all for this entry. 'Til next time, enjoy! ^^
