Do you catch a moat carp every time? Also, do you mean that you sold 12 moat carp for 6000 each or for all together?
for the most part i was catching moat carp...but sometimes i catch a tri-coloured type of carp [cant remember exact name] which sells for about 1,300gil a stack..but i was mostly after the moat carp.

    6,000 a stack...not one carp.

      bad luck ?

After Reading this post about logging I decided to try my luck . I went and Bought a Hatchet (500G) . I ran all the way to the outpost, found a logging point, And swung my Hatchet . Low and behold on my very first swing my darn Hatchet Broke. I m very upset as I only got a peice of arrowhead wood. After the Synthesize i had arrowhead lumber which sold for 100g . Kinda seems Awful expensive first starting out . Is it always like this ? or was my luck just bad to have it break on my first swing ? Any help would be apprecietive . Feel free to email any info , Id love to be a lumberjack. LordThorne_4life@yahoo.com. Thanks.

hehe complete opposite of my first experience.

but yeah thats why i said bring more than 1 hatchet for that very reason.

also earlier in this post i gave ingredients to make hatchet..you could just make some.

          Fire Crystal
          2 bronze ingots
          1 maple lumber
          =
          Hatchet

like anything it's all a game of luck...sometimes ill come away with 7 elm logs...sometimes ill come away with 1 elm log...sometimes ill have 7 hatchets break...sometimes none...hehe....just gotta keep at it and realize not everytime your going to bring home the big prize.

same with fishing..same with just about everything in the game.

                  SmartieKjm,

Where did you find that Carbon Rod at and how much did it cost you?

i know bastok is mostly a mining place.....so i imagine you would want to take up mining instead of logging...windurst is mostly a harvest place..so you would want to take up harvesting.

all work the same and im sure all can make money just the same as well.

bastok you would just replace the hatchet for a pickaxe and instead of trees you would look for mining areas....windurst a sickle and look for harvesting areas.

since san'doria is filled with forrests...it's a good logging area.

i got it at the auction house....set me back about 1,500gil....but it has been great....it has not broke still and i have been using it awhiile....before that i paid much more (3000gil?) for a glass rod and it broke fast.

                        Also...this probably doesn't help.

but...i was noticing i was catching more fish this way last night.

like you know when your fishing....it says "something caught on the hook" and then it tugs up and down,up and down.

i was thinking...when you press enter key...your basically pullling it....so i was pressing the enter key last night when the rod was at it's lowest point going up...and i notice i catch more fish...not everytime but i noticed a slight difference.

lol but this probably makes no difference at alll.....you never know though.

                            LOL!

yeah..for some reason i always think that will help...when im about to die i just start running around the enemy in a circle like it will make some kind of difference.

                            :spin:

hey sometimes it seems like it works. ehe

it is the color green on the target and says "logging point" and has a big gold arrow on it...hehe.

you can use the 0 key to scroll available targets...and if there is a logging point it will show up.
