I logged onto the server that was picked and I'm getting FFXI-level latency. I usually run no more than 50ms on my current server but on Dark'Tharon I'm not seeing latency below 442ms O.o

You should be thankful you're not on my home server Cenarius. They tend to run lats in the 800s at expansion releases and when new raid dungeons open up.

How's this new server? Anybody spending a lot of time on it? I figure you guys could start a guild and begin EXP'ing it up and attain the EXP bonus pretty quickly.

Worgen is fun, but not as fun as I thought it would be. The lumbering animations get to me, and running wild feels like a cheap way out. Why can't they be given horses? Seems like it wouldn't be that hard, since they're already in the game and used by a similar race.

I thought about how awesome it would have been if the Gilneans were originally a Horde race. Blood Elves, or something, changing into Worgen, giving other Hordies a moment of pause when they see another Blood Elf with a red name. Would have been a neat concept had there been better alternatives.

I bet you won't the first time he eats your face! It's just that one moment where he turns his head and looks straight on where I'm thinking "OH SHIT, HE SAW ME!"

Got down into Vashj'ir last night and quested for a bit, wow, what a pretty zone. And I dig the idea of an underwater zone. I only got ganked once - by a level 85 who must have found it hilarious - and I got about 30% of the way to 81. I'm in no rush, I'm going to enjoy the crawl. I was very happy to find that my daily regimen of ... uh, dailies ... (lol redundant) netted me about 150k xp.

Got home, upgraded. Expected long download ... but ... wait, I can play already? I just got home 10 minutes ago. (Of course, this is assuming there's no queue, which there will be.) I'm going to start the queue, take a shower, get some food, and if it's still got a long time to go, I'll go run my errands and come back.

Such a welcome change from anything FFXI. I mean seriously the entire process of upgrading to Cataclysm took me three minutes, two of which I spent getting my card.

So am I, which is why I'm reluctant to transfer. Not that I enjoy two hour queues, but I still like my guild enough to stick around.

I will gladly make an alt and play it (albeit infrequently) but until I know we're going to do something except turn WoW into the DiV chat room, I'm not going to pay $25 to jump. I've already done that and got burned.

So are we going to try to be a raiding guild? Or more of a casual? I think we could maybe end up with enough for 10mans, for sure, and I'm sure we can always run heroics at any given time. Do we have anyone capable of leading raids? I'm still kinda noob so, not me. (Lol) But I'd love to raid if we can, that'd be awesome.

Just wondering. If we're not really going to raid I may not xfer my main, instead just transfer my DK and fuck around getting her to 80 (oops, 85) and running some randoms on weekends or whatever. Cause I do want to raid. Eventually.
