Eh yes and no. It was still pretty damned creepy, and I freaked at the warning in chapter 6 I think it was of "Warning, 40 killotonne mass detected"

The regenerator freaked mke good too but otherwise by the end yes, it was just a case of killing whatever came my way next.

You also have to admit that even for a strategy RPG, Front Mission is almost too in-depth. If I wanted to take hours to set up and finish a mission, I might as well be doing a tabletop RPG.
Really?! Maybe I wasn't playing the game right because each mission only took me 20mins to setup up for max and alot of the missions in 4 were easy compared to the mission in 1 and 3. But in all fairness I played every FM except 5 so I always built the same team types and it is always successful.

3rd person shooter this saddens me? I already hoping for a 2d fighter revival, but now a tactical rpg one too? A person can only take so much defeat from the industry changing.

Getting on point FM online is a hard game to place, because very little can be seen in the states, I guess no one wanted to make good recording. But the shooter aspect fits well for the american game style, so people that don't care about story can blaze through it, and go and kill this person and run through the game. Though a 3rd person shooter might take out the team woirk aspect of it unless they make it like Star wars republic commandos. But reguardless I am getting it. Maybe not on release but it is a FM so I will get it.

I said Barring Dead Space because while I still don't technically realize it as a SH game, the atmosphere was just too well done to ignore. It's 50/50 really @.@; if they would just do away with the money and mobs dropping ammo it'd be perfect.

And I second Einhander 2. At the very least put the original up on PSN!!! I read over at Joystiq that Hirai-san is planning to greatly expand the PSN so who knows. We might even see Eirgheiz XD (however the hell you spell it)

O.O so they did (and I own both Drakenguard games lol)

They weren't the best ever but I did enjoy them (though 1 was much better than 2)

NEVER! As a huge fan of survival horror I'm seriously pissed that the genre has been going all to hell for some time. As much as I loved Dead Space it still doesn't count as a Survival Horror title in my books.

I don't think you know Double Helix's history. They're a merger of Shiny Entertainment and The Collective.

Their history includes the Earthworm Jim series, MDK, Wrath Unleased, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. This makes them worth watching, because these are the sorts of titles SE probably looked at. Yes, the Shiny half has been responsible for some garbage in its time, but The Collective has always gotten fairly high marks.

The Collective's involvement alone makes Front Mission Evolved one to watch. With SE watching over this, I'm sure it will turn out all the better. The Collective did good action games, which isn't SE's element. SE knows cinematic and roleplay elements, which will inevitably be part of the experience.

So drop the fucking nerd rage and give them a fair shake. Silent Hill has been shit ever since Konami started whoring the franchise, I can't blame any developer for how rushed the last few games have felt because Konami pushed the deadlines.

I'm not that familiar with Cavia's works but Double Helix is a shitty developer, do not compare them to Retro Studios or Insomniac etc.

Remember Bird flu and West Nile Virus? Media has to have something to make people panic.

it is kinda ridiculous, considering it doesn't look like it's any more dangerous than a regular flu at this point. Sort of like not flying post-9/11; it hasn't really gotten any more dangerous.

Yeah, it was detailed in some of the notes on Magic Box that quite a few teams - not just SE ones - won't be coming for those specific concerns. I don't completely blame them. I don't know about the rate of cases on the west coast, but its been fairly minimal out in the southeast.

Man Square Enix is really leading the charge in western-aimed development now. I mean, Double Helix and Cavia? Talk about quality.
