Microsnot on the other hand provides a piece of "Paint-by-number" paper and then penalizes you when you go outside the lines they've already drawn for you. But since there were only instructions printed in Swahili t4ranslated from the original urdu there's no way to tell if the OS is talking to the BIOS or if the network adapter is running correctly do to the secondary function of a trailing piece of software written by an idiot.... Now be a good corporate robot - erm - citizen and go buy your new Dell

And especially since the prices have become more comparale - choosing a PC over a Mac at this point, is a willful disregard for form and function and a stubborn refusal to realize that YES IT REALLY IS WORHT THAT MUCH MONEY. Saving yourself a few hunderd dollars (and yes, I realize that is a lot of money to many folks, me included) and buying a PC instead of a MAC is selling yourself short and buying junk instead of quality. Love yourself and get only the best you can afford - AND THAT WILL ALWAYS BE A MAC.

But it's not something that you can wiggle with. you either get it, or you don't. People who cleave to their antiquated belief that PC's and Macs are "Just computers" are people who've never owned a Mac. Those that have, know.

First off the Majave project was to prove, that most people that disliked Vista (mind you 90% of these same people never even tried it) only disliked because of all the anti Vista bull going around. I have used the damn OS since its release and yeah, there was a few "hiccups" but over all the OS is just as solid as XP is and Windows 7 is even better.

I have tried Unix and Mac both, and don't care for them. Windows is not "hard to use" most people just do simple but fixable mistakes. Oh and no... Apple products all around are way over priced......

Touchscreen? yeah its nice, but honestly if your not using a tablet PC, Touchscreen is just a novelty that is not really needed at this point in time.

I built my current PC for about $700.




Woops, this top of the line iMac is almost 3x as much as my PC, and what do you know, it's about half as powerful as far as gaming purposes go.

I've never found it difficult to use a Windows machine, or play with it (if play with it means tweak it, obviously a Windows machine is much more accommodating), and my desktop certainly looks beautiful. Of course, all of these values are subjective.

People use Windows because they prefer it to alternatives. Some may think a Mac is easier to use, but they prefer the software they can use with Windows. Others don't give a shit about "style" or things like that, and they just want something cheap and functional and easy. I certainly can't explain why each of these individuals choose Windows over Mac, but each decision is rational.

Again, *MOST PEOPLE* do not upgrade their computers. They get new ones. I suppose you also never buy laptops either.

There is also this little known fact that when Apple refreshes a line, the previous models to not stop working, in fact, they go on working the same way they did the day before the line was refreshed. Only clueless morons go around saying how a 6 month old computer is obsolete because a new one in the line got a 1% boost in performance.

Maybe, just maybe (actually there's no maybe about it) you and people like you are not the target audience for that product.

At work i use a apple Mac G4 tower 1Ghz chip, 64mb graphics card and 1gb memory, mac osx10.3.9. It runs archicad (the cad software we use) much more smoothly and handles it better than my old PC did (Athlon 64 3000, 2gb ram and FX5600 graphics, win xp home) the architecture of the macs were always superior and you did pay for quality. Took 2 hours to set up mac and install all updates, programes etc. Took 6 hours to do the same with my pc.

i do however sit ont eh fence with teh mac pc arguments. i use both and yes in some cases for the same thing, granted my new home pc is a quad core ith powerfull graphcis etc which is much better than the mac I sue at work now, but my work mac is 5 years old and still going strong, my old athlon pc was 3 years old and died and was very sluggish. Yes I have a few niggles with my mac as I do my pc, but both of them do what they say on teh box and the mac is still doing me proud (touch wood).

macs are become closer to pc's with the ability to dual boot, intel chip inside etc. but the arguments do wear a bit thin in the end...
