Huh? I figured my stating that it's not a black and white issue and that I sympathize with the RMT situation would have made it clear that I also sympathize with the illegal immigrant situation, seeing how I compared the two and view them in a similar light.

RMT and Illegal immigrants ARE different bc they are a complete Different situation. Now,I can see how they are very VERY similar but there is no need to compare the too, that is done out of lack of argumentive evidence and ignorance.

Um... what? Lack of argumentive evidence and ignorance? I posted 4 key points at the end of my previous post, even numbered them. How the hell is that a lack of evidence and a sign of ignorance? I'm not the one chanting "I'm right, shut up" as if I were the authority around here.

Of course they're ultimately two different subjects, just like apples and oranges are two different kinds of fruits and can be viewed as seperate subjects. But don't sit there and tell me I can't make a comparison between the two, chanting that I'm ignorant while posting no support of your own, especially when I provide support for my point of view.

The thing is, no one else was talking about illegal immigration until you came along and tried to make that the subject of conversation. That's why no one is really interested in talking about it.

No one is saying "I'm right, now shut up." But we are saying "This isn't the place for this conversation."

Ok, I guess my post above could read like "I'm right, now shut up." but oh well. That's life.

Most people here care to some degree about RMT. Almost no one comes to this site to debate about immigration, including myself. (I'm an immigrant, BTW.) It's an important topic on its own, but a total bore to keep harping about it in a thread more suited to the specifics of RMT instead.

Shoehorn doesn't work for size 14 feet, when the issue at hand is size six and half, narrow.

Why don't you make up a new thread in the "Off Topic" forum instead? This thread's OP is about a law suit against IGE, and I'm sure you've exhausted any and all possible links between that and illegal immigration.

But seriously jwalton and DanteWolfWood, if you wanna get into a illegal immigration debate please make a new thread in the off topics section. That really has nothing to do with this thread and I fail to see the comparisons or connections illegal immigration has to RMT let alone IGE getting sued.

I don't mind if a thread goes off topic because that is the way the conversation went, but you just kinda threw the topic of illegal immigration into this thread and seriously derailed it.

/sigh Sex, religion, and politics ... can't we just talk about video games? On this video game forum? I mean, yeah yeah, you're allowed to talk about whatever you want here so long as it doesn't violate the forum rules and stays generally PG-13, so I'm not going to stop you unless things really get out of hand, but I'm asking you. Could you please just not? I mean, this really isn't the place for discussing US foreign and domestic policies as they relate to our socioeconomic infrastructure. If I was interested in that conversation I'd have gone to the foreignpolicy.com forums or something.
