    What do you guys think?

    So I was having an odd conversation with some person on my way to Kazham...




    Sorry for the bad photo editting job. I was in /say and he was in /shout so I tried to blend them in... then I thought, I should post this in ffxionline.com, so I also started in shouts so they can be in the same window...




    So what do you guys think?

    I think he's just a little dumb, and is an FFVII fan-boy, more than likely. He probably just would like to see something more similar to FFVII, and something that's easier as well. You're for sure right about how each one is different, although there are the similar items, summons, spells, etc., the main facet of the game, leveling and how you get abilities, is always different.

    SAM's with Dual-Wield? Why? >_>

    Just curious, was he a new player?

        I try to ignore people like that as much as possible. He's so very wrong, since a multiplayer game has a totally different set of requirements than a single player game.

          I think that person is an idiot and would black list them so I never have to listen to them again.
          1.)Merging come on It would be great in theory but only there if you merge jobs the size of parties would drop considerably , mobs would be harder and the ingame economy would suffer greatly.
          2.)None of the FF games are exactly alike not even 10 &10-2 only certain names and potions remain to refer you to the FF series i.e Cid and Mogs

          3.)Stats are way different e.g ff8 squall is near enough like drk but he has uber vitality while zell is near enough to a mnk but can't realy take too much damage compared to squall

          4.)Spells...ooooo so what theres only so many names you can give to a fire spell
          ff7 fire1,2,3 & in ff8 fire, fira,firagara so there not always the same

          whoever this person is I'm glad i wasn't talking to him he is obviously wrong but is convinced he is right and is too stupid to admit it.

            I'm just sick of people acting like FF started with the PS1. Of course the dude rattles off "7,8,9,10,11" and for some reason throws in Tactics and Chrono Trigger to show how they are all "the same."

            With the reissues of FF1&2, 4, and 5 on the GBA and now a completely updated FF3 on DS, there is no excuse for claiming ignorance in regards to these games for any "hardcore FF gamer."

              Well most people didn't really know about the series until 7 became something big. There are tons of fans that have been playing since NES and SNES, but I'd say the majority started once they had a PS1 or after. I loved 1 and 5, and didn't care much for the others myself. D:

              Btw, FF3 rocks, I'm so happy they ported it to DS. :D

                I totally understand people not really knowing about the FF series until FF7 became huge.

                But still, I don't care if they were born in 1995, the rest of the series is still out there, on current systems, for them to catch up on.

                I'm not saying everyone has to have played the NES-SNES FFs or they suck. But if some kid is a self-proclaimed "hardcore FFer" and they don't know FF1-6, then yes, they do indeed suck.

                    No no I understand, but most people ignore those games as well, cause even if it's re-released, there isn't too much fanfare about it, as opposed to say a new FF coming out. And some may look at it as an older version of something better, and not even try it, you know? And I completely agree with you about claiming to be a "hardcore FF'er" and then not even knowning the roots of the series does make them a loser.

                    Ah, I'd guess he is a new player, cause I kinda used to think about similar things as this when I started playing. But I only related this game to FFT...just cause of jobs, and how you can use multiple abilities and what not.

                        Sounds like kids who just feel so cool that they get to play FF and make it a big talk to their friends.

                        When I read the "ninja rocks" comment it really reminds me of one of the Whm I PT with -.- Worst Whm I ever PT with.... We had a PLD tank and the WHM barely was helping at all..... But he kept bragging how good he was when he has ninja tank....
