PSN updated, its still going to take forever to download because its PSN.

Well, for me anyway, I don't have a PS3 to download this too, so I'm stuck with a PSP AND a PSN that like to take their sweet time on downloading this, Parasite Eve (yes they added the first PSOne classic today) and the Aerith bonus. It'll probably be midnight before its done, but that's cool, I have other things to play.

Even when I had cable and not 4G, PSN download speeds were just about as bad. I hate Time Warner, so that's why I switched

I found a USB cable at my parents house, so I able able to connect my PSP to my computer and just download it from MediaGo. Story is very very short. Lightning is fun to play as. Gonna play around with Arcade mode. The gameplay is much faster, Chase mode is really fast. Assists are..well interesting.

I have gotten to the part in Okamiden where you disguise your characters like imps by putting sheets over their faces and drawing on them.

Kuni has Mr. Awesome drawn on him.

Chibiterasu's mask just says "Tits or GTFO."

The gameplay is much faster, Chase mode is really fast. Assists are..well interesting.

Yeah, it feels a bit faster this time out, which is a welcome change. I think the Assists are just what the game needed to keep things from getting so one-sided at times and there seems to be a lot of ways to use it.

I liked Kain a bit more than Lightning, though Lightning was fun enough. I'm sure she'll get more interesting when her Paradigm shifts get more fleshed out.

I do like the assist changes to take HP damage for you. Ex Revenge is also nice for similar reasons.

Wow Shantotto got buffed. HP spells come out faster now and Stun can chain into Retribution very easily.

I decided to give the game to my housemate as a farewell gift, but not before loading up the saves which were already on the cartridge (the thing was like new, but I guess it was just well preserved...) and getting me to some witch touching.

Restarted TLR. I was actually much further than I thought I was on my old file, but I'd rather not resume it as my characters are pretty gimp due to the game's poor explanation of it's own mechanics - Basically I ended up racking up a very high BR by linking lots of enemies whenever I could right from the start because you are advised during the very beginning of the game to do so.

What this does ironically (360 version only, fuck you PC version and your awesome fixes ) is jack up your BR which in turn jacks up enemies' strength and abilities. You get better loot, but by linking enemies and cranking up your BR you will get much weaker stat gains after fights since you gain a lot more by fighting stronger enemies.

On my current file I'm just past the catacombs and the duo mission with Rush & Emma, omw to Nagapur and my BR is only around 8 this time vs I think 30~35 last time. Hopefully by the time I get back to where I was on my old file (near the end of the game actually o-O) my stats will be tremendously higher and I should not have such a nightmare of a time with some of the bosses like I did previously.

You bish and your no-limit to leaders!

I'm having a bitch of a time building up a proper set of unions atm. Got Rush Torgal & David heading my current 3, with room for 1 more leader if I want (thinking of either Loki or Nora, but idk who's better at hexes) and just having a bitch of a time in general about what sort of unions I want in the end.

Don't need a dedicated healer party because that's just stupid in this game (better off with someone who can heal and someone who can revive, preferably with item arts since they don't use AP), but idk if it's worth it to actually have a Hex union over say an Evocation union with a single hexer who can cast Cachexia or w/e it's called (the final hex that just cripples every freaking enemy in the game including bosses).


I really hate the stupid 6-leader limit in the 360 version, and the fact that linking super charges your BR; In the PC version it doesn't affect it at all which isn't fair - makes grinding and plowing through areas a lot easier.

Right now I have Rush's group as physical damage with Rush also having mystic arts if needed, same deal with Torgal's group and David is currently the head of my mystic union. I figure a final party should have at least 2 melee groups and an evocation party, but as you're limited to a max of 5 unions IIRC it makes the last 2 somewhat difficult. Do I go for a Hex group and then what, a 3rd melee or 2nd evocation?

I plan to have Torgal learn Psionics later so he can act as my morale guy, as it's not worth dedicating a whole union to Psionics (I don't think you can anyway since very few characters can even learn it) but my final party is likely going to be Rush Torgal Caedmon Baulson Irina and Emmy. The problem with that though is Irina is the only really good mage in that group and she's more of a healer (though IIRC she does get 1 seriously bad ass arcana)
