Pretty much. It's basically a tablet OS, which works fine for tablets or even a laptop. But it's a nightmare for desktops and I fucking hate a lot of the changes like removing the start menu & task manager. You can't boot to the desktop anymore either.

To be fair, I don't, either. Should I?

Thing with Vraska is she's basically guaranteed to at least two-for-one if you play her right, and it's hard to find a card in this Standard that says "destroy that" with no loopholes or caveats. I mean, "non-land" notwithstanding. If there was a Golgari deck doing well on the pro scene, you can bet she'd be in the list somewhere, but they'd almost certainly wish they could play Maelstrom Pulse instead.

Eh it worked pretty well in my play-testing, even against my super-aggressive decks (though not 100% obviously). Just needed to survive until I could establish the lock, usually right after a SV. The only major weaknesses I found were spells like Paraselen & Planar Cleansing, or super-efficient aggro. But that was just a kind of casual "FU" deck I made to troll with. Just basically stalls the game to a halt, stopping my opponent from being able to do anything while I sit back and rack up filibuster counters.

Well, I'm out of commission for a bit.

Shenanigans with Windows 8 happened, my PC is messed the fuck up and I've only just managed to establish some semblance of normalcy. Lost all my decks during the upgrade 'cause upgrading from Vista = bad idea and seeing as I'm currently in the middle of trying to make sure I don't lose anything else whilst I attempt to go back to Vista (or possibly 7 if Vista isn't an option - I LOATHE Win 8) I really just don't feel like trying to remake anything.

Really fucks me off too as I had some nice decks setup that took me a few hours of play-testing to perfect.

I still feel like shes too expensive no matter what. Nasty, sure... but too expensive for me to actually try to play her.

You're trying too hard. If you're going three-color already, you don't even need the White.

Aside, Vraska's "ultimate" is arguably the least impressive thing about her. She's just nasty in general.

    Just got a

out of the pack I bought on a whim. I was tempted to sell it right back to the shop until I considered how valuable it might be if Gatecrash came out some sort of "make target creature unblock-able" instant for relatively cheap. For now I'm keeping it and waiting. Worst case scenario it's $10.00.

    - - - Updated - - -

Also: Assume that Gatecrash comes out with a new "destroy all creatures" card with more compatible colors to Vraska. The Multiplayer adaptations could be hilarious in a good removal deck.

As it is... on turn 3 (or 4 with a good acceleration) you can put in Vraska at Loyalty 6 as long as you burn the +1 right away. Turn 4 (or 5) puts it to 7, Turn 5 (or 6) you can drop...

or a potential and equivalent mass removal spell...

And if you're running a good G/W/B deck with a splash Blue for Verdict. Follow that with Vraska's -7 and you put yourself in a potentially funny as hell simultaneous multi-player win scenario.

^_^ mine splashes just a bit of green for farseek :3

Get that rage-quit engine online that much faster. Though, I'm tempted to change that for Black or else see what other annoyances get added in Gate Crasher. Hmm, now that I think about it, Tamiyo would be incredibly annoying.

Sounds like my Azorius "Total Denial" Deck (Nevermore, Sphere of Safety, Detention Sphere etc... all very, very annoying shit)

I have a Worldslayer Deck but don''t play it because it's just completely unfun for everyone else.
