    Hmm, I prefer W/G exalted.

    T1 Avaycn Pilgrim
    T2 Silverblade Paladin
T3 Sublime Archangel - opponent has to respond or die.

Funny how I don't see you calling Cid out on having Tatermunge (or however you spell it) in every single deck with Red or the fact that TM has Invisible Stalkers in his blue Decks, or noting that every single one of your decks is a Humans deck.

There's still plenty of Black Cards with it. Plus You can do things like exploit Harbor Bandits and (and keep them in play with a splash of blue) stuff like Artful Dodge.

You don't have to sit there and say "Ermergerd I can't possibly experiment with different splashes in a deck and make it work because no key word there!"

And FYI Invisible Stalker is really nice for Exalted decks. It's hard to remove if it resolves and you can exploit the hell out of Butcher's Cleavers, Silver Inlaid Daggers, Trephanation Blades and Necropolis Regents.

Clearly you haven't tried a B/U exalted deck in standard before.

Then again Standard has always bored me due to the whole "Stop having fun. Cookie Cutter Deck or GTFO." mentality of some of the people that play it.

Pretty much everything honestly. I wasn't all that interested in Simic the 1st time around but holy crap @Fathom Mage & Evolve.

At this rate, Boros Angels are going to be a powerful deck. Can't say I didn't see this coming from, well, 100 nautical miles away.

Why's it always have to be Angels, though . . .

I didn't say Batallion specifically, just some kind of attack trigger for the keyword - both WR and RG are extremely aggressive. Bloodrush is a little too similar to cascade as well.

On the plus side, Boros is looking to be the aggro king, even over Rakdos & Selesnya which are already very strong - I LOVE the synergy Boros has with Odric. LOVE IT! :D

Guess this confirms no Helix reprint though, and for that I am truly saddened. Even still, this angel makes Lightning Maulers playable lol.

    Re: Magic: The Gathering

Batallion fits the Boros flavour better than it fits Gruul. Boros is the Borderline Lawful Evil Flag Waving Militarist faction. Gruul is Chaotic Neutral at best and really doesn't have much in the way of discipline, nevermind forming battalions.

That said to be fair using D&D alignments in MTG is probably a bad idea considering you can count the number of unambiguously good (Sorin Markov is the closest thing MTG has to a "Good Guy", the Weatherlight Crew. Toshihiro Umezawa, what's left of the Mirrans probably counts too) or card carrying evil (New Phyrexia, Rakdos, Nicol Bolas) factions/characters on both hands.

And I could see that Angel working very well in my Burn at the Stake deck if it was mono red and not Red/White as I'm really not sure what else a White Splash would offer such a fast burn deck over Black or Blue.

Love Batallion. Was hoping that Gruul would get the attacking trigger but Boros is a good choice too.

TM and Mal are the only people I have yet to play. TM is I don't know where and I don't know who Mal is on Cockatrice.
