Physical copies of comics is great, don't get me wrong, but it's usually a pain to read any given issue because first you have to find it, than unbag it and be careful not to ruin it.

Somewhat off topic, but this is why I hate buying single issues of comics. I've always been a fan of TPB collections and especially the manga sized format comics and such. They just work so much better. Having said that, I'm not really a fan of reading comics on my com, but I guess I could kind of see it working on something like an ipad. Doesn't mean I'll ever own or use one, but I can see the allure.

Also, as far as pricing for this stuff goes. I have a friend who at one point had a large wad of spare cash saved up and wanted to buy either a PS3 or an iPhone. I said buy the PS3 but she went with the phone. I orz'd =(

lol yah, I always wanted an ereader... my only concern is that LCD is pretty rough on the eyes and e-ink is super awesome for reading.

The temptation is growing though. Just the thought of being able to catch up on years of missed comics and series is making me all giddy on the inside.

LOL Ya thats a pretty expensive comic reader! I will say you would love it though. I have manga on mine and spent 4 hours yesterday reading it and another 2 watching anime on Crunchyroll in bed at 2am. But the aspect of pictures in color and clickable links on newspapers, etc just make this the best damn eBook ever, imo. My godson just bought a Kindle and came over yesterday all excited. When he heard I had an iPad he wanted to see it. After seeing it he was pretty depressed he bought his Kindle. He's putting it up on Ebay now and saving for an iPad. Man did I feel bad..

After reading more about the iPad, I'm pretty tempted to get one just so I can store a shitload of comics on it and read it as I please.

Physical copies of comics is great, don't get me wrong, but it's usually a pain to read any given issue because first you have to find it, than unbag it and be careful not to ruin it. With the iPad, you can just zoom to whatever you want to read. That's pretty great.

As an additional plus, you wouldn't have to buy physical copies, saving the amount of paper the world uses.

Although, a 600 dollar comic reader is pretty expensive. :lol:

I wouldn't mind trying out a Zune. I am in no way tethered to my Apple products. I go where the performance is.

If you like apple thats fine, infact I never said you had to hate them, I gave my opinion of them in my first post, and as predicted, the "Apple Police" came in and start an argument.

I have a Zune and it's great.

I read the other day that M$ is bringing out a 64GB Zune pretty soon.
