    Mother's Day

    Just wondering what everybody is getting their loved ones or what they have asked for (Especially you TGM )

    I thought me and my big brother might be able to team up and get mom something, but he already had something planned. He is going to get her a pretty nice looking watch from Macy's, so I chipped in and got her some perfume that she had looked at in Macy's one day. I had to spring for the gift box because the big bottle was $155.00!!!!! She'll be getting a gift box of Boucheron and a card from me so she should be happy.

    I usually send flowers. If I lived closer, I would maybe cook a meal or something, but we don't go all out. It's not her birthday after all. A nice dinner and a card should be enough.

            Newegg sent out a newsletter of mothers day gifts, including cordless phone sets.

            So apparently phones make a good gift now.

            I am probably just going to have a nice dinner with her.

                It is the 2nd sunday in May and I believe Father's day is the 2nd Sunday in June.

                    Well I usually buy my mother something sparkly but thats not happening this year. Recession and all that shit. (Also my husband's pension and benefits could be going bye bye because the company might file bankruptcy.) So we'll go tomorrow to the local flower shop and buy her a big bouquet of flowers. On Fridays, they have 1/2 off their cut flowers. (Check to see if any of your local florists do this!) I'll also go over there and make some Strawberry Shortcake for everyone and then we'll sit around and chit chat.

                    As for my gifts, I received them already. LOL I got a DSi from my husband and children. I also got a terrabyte hard drive and some Star Trek figurines. I also got a EZ Flashi card.

                    Its one of my husbands big bitches. For my birthday, anniversary, etc he's always buying me geek gifts. His buddies buy lingerie and other stuff for their wives and there he is buying me video games, figurines, etc. He gets so embarassed when guys ask him what he got his wife on a holiday. LOL Whats the sense of getting me something that I could care less about? It's a waste of money! lolololol

                      While a grandma in lingerie is one of the things men tend to avoid the thought of, I've heard the old peeps lead very active sex lives.

                            Sorry, but I find some women in the 40+ range to still be pretty damn hot. You don't have to be terribly old to be a grandparent ya know.

                              Well Feba my husband still likes to see me in it so you're opinion really doesn't matter.

                              What he doesn't like to see me in is my TOS Star Trek shirt I got 35 years ago and can still fit in it! (Thats quite a feat!) Especially when I wear it (the black pants tucked into the black boots too) when he takes me to see the new Star Trek movie. LOLOLOLOLOL
