Ok I'm totally serious......sometimes I can't come to this site because you guys cause me more pain. Totally true. Sometimes you get me to laughing so hard that the pain from my liver and kidneys gets so bad I have to take pain pills. LOL I mean seriously....this thread alone is proof of that!!

Broadband: Time Warner Cable To Expand Its Bandwidth Caps To Additional Cities

So Time Warner is going to be capping in other cities. My advice to anyone out there that finds this is going to happen to them, CANCEL! Show them where it hurts, in the pocket. You can try to get people involved in your area and write letters or do a door to door campaign alerting people and asking for signatures. But let them know that it is NOT acceptable. I will be doing so here where I live. If I am able, I will do a door to door campaign. If I have some spare cash (ya riiiiight lol) I will put an ad in the local paper. And I will cancel my account if need be.

he ahs internet with NTL (Now taken over by Virgin media) his tarrif is £60 a month ($88) with that he gets 10gb down speed, a 4gb limit between 7am and midnight but infinate betweet midnight and 7am. He can't afford to pay this a month so he ahs to sell a few things he downloads just to pay for it. However if he didn;t have internet access and the ability to download tv shows, films, music etc. He would have been dead long ago from taking his own life. The internet for him is his only contact with the world and to keep him ocupied.

Yes its difficult to be bedridden. Mine comes and goes in spurts (seems to be coming more lately though >< ) so I'm able to get out and do things with others. I look forward to spending time with family and friends. Problem is, I can't make any advance plans. So if someone calls me up on Wednesday and says "hey want to see a movie/go to lunch/go shopping/etc this weekend?" I have to say no or give the same tired explanation over and over about not being able to make advance plans. I can be doing SUPER on Wed, Thurs, and Fri, and be unable to get out of bed on Sat. I'm tired of canceling plans over and over. I've lost many friends because of this. So I choose not to make any plans. It's a call me that day and ask me and I'll let you know then type of situation. My online time is the only thing I seem to be able to count on. LOL Currently with my daughter occupying my living area downstairs, I have no access to cable or my DVR, so my computer is my tv and I d/l all my shows.

Would you like it if you were only able to go outside your house X amount of times a month and after you exceeded that limit they would charge you a fee when you wanted to leave? I wouldn't.

Yes dear, I go out every day if possible. Sometimes I'm bedridden so its impossible to get out but whenever I'm able I do. I do a lot of volunteer work that *gasp* makes use of my internet. But they want to penalize me for that now. I recently spent 4 days at the local high school to help out with counseling teens because there was a stabbing. So yes, I know all about the "outside" world but I'm not talking about that in this thread. I'm addressing how they are trying to limit my access to the virtual world that I pay good money to view. Simple, get DSL.

Never heard of a DSL company doing this, just cable. I think mainly cuz DSL is dedicated line and doesn't slow other people down.
