FCC has already been trying to get after Comcast about cutting off peoples internet because of too much usage without a warning, this was before they issued the 250GB rule. Last I heard about it was the FCC was going after Comcast because something was iffy about their Digital Voice service.

Oh jeez all of 10 seconds. If you blinked you missed it.

I just get a kick out of people saying they are having connection issues to FFXI and then you find out they have Comcast. I had someone beg me to burn anime for them because they had Comcast. But other broadband users shouldn't get too comfortable, other large companies are watching how the Comcast limitations go over. Some are already implementing restrictions of their own too.

God they are so lucky its cable TV thru Comcast that this happened or the FCC would literally have a field day with this. And they didn't even show any boobs apparently! I can seriously picture it. Some guys in Arizona are going crazy cheering cause of the touchdown, then BAM, penis.

    Poor Comcast Users...

    Article in March Maximum PC...

"After placing a 250GB bandwidth cap on its broadband customers back in October 2008. Comcast is at it again. This time, traffic throttling is the name of the game. Yes, Comcast was already in the business of throttling, but the company's practice of targeting specific types of data, namely torrent packets, didn't go over very well. (Not to mention they lied through their teeth about it.) So now the company is shifting its focus to monitoring the amount of traffic generated by users rather than the type of data that's being downloaded.

Throttling will take place when a user's up- or down- stream throughout reaches 70 percent of the outlined bandwidth and will result in a lowered traffic priority. This menas your traffic will be delayed, or even dropped, if you're a bandwidth hog.

Don't forget that the 250GB bandwidth cap is still in effect. Your total bandwidth usage is the monthly accumulation of both your upstream and downstream traffic. Comcast is currently working on a bandwidth usage meter so users can keep apprised of their allotment, but no public releases have been made available yet.
