If you lay (lie?) on your side use two, if you're on your back use one. I used to use 2 all the time and it eventually caused a pinched nerve that made me want to gnaw off my arm. It's probably a combination of sleeping in an odd position and stress (like Aks said).

Yes it does, just while it lasts it hurts like a MOFO and it mostly happens when I haven't had a full night's sleep.

In the mean time I am in a LOT OF FUCKING PAIN

Well that's the same as in Airborne school, learn how to fall properly so you don't break your legs. So I understand why they had us do them, tt was still really annoying to do though.

It's a pretty basic thing you need to learn in Judo to not horrifically injure each other in training: how to fall safely.
