You are correct, this was a misunderstanding of information I have seen, heard, and read over the years. There are Carcinogens, however studies have not shown any associations between marijuana and cancer. In some studies it has actually been attributed to having inhibited cancer growth.

I am enjoying this discussion, and if anyone has any information on the subject please share.

I know I don't know everything, and this is certainly a subject i want to know more about.

I use it for Photoshop and I love it for Counterstrike or FPS's on the PC. BUT I will warn people that trackballs take some time to get used to. You might hate it before you end up loving it. That's why Ebay is a good place to get one because people use it for a week, say they hate it, and then sell it. lol

I heard the same thing about split keyboards and it didn't take me more than 10 minutes to adjust to that.

The adjustment period doesn't really concern me because changing my setup around is pretty close to a medical necessity at this point. I work with computers for a living and for recreation when I get home at night. At the ripe old age of 23 I have the CTS/RSI/"Oh dear god my hands are about to fall off". You will find me dead in a ditch somewhere before I give up computer use, so I've been researching and purchasing better input equipment so I don't lose the use of my hands.

Anyway, I've got one of these coming in this weekend:Newegg.com - Logitech Trackman Marble USB Wired Optical Mouse
Should get me used to it. I'm hesitant to drop the money for one of TGM's sexy balls because I don't want to go through the headache of returning it to an internet vendor. Especially when I'm not yet accustomed to trackballs and the return window will likely expire before I get used to it.

I don't know why you think I'm offended, I just know that you can get cancer from smoking anything. To deny that fact is silly.

Your reply gave me the impression that you may have felt what I said might have been hurtful. I know if someone was talking to me about a subject that had as much personal meaning as this one seems to you I would have strong feelings about it.

Nah takes quite a bit to offend me dear. If anything, I lol'ed. ^^

Gramps was a great guy. He was one of the few people that taught me the world was a good place (I had a really horrific childhood). He was an old hippie that lived in the northwoods of our state in a log cabin, before all the yuppies found the area and built all their fancy dancy houses there. lol He grew his own veges, was a vegetarian, and lived like the pioneers used to basically. Staying at his house was a shock because there was no tv or electronics (except for a radio that he barely used and only got 2 AM stations - one was 24 hour news and the other was music from the 30's and 40's it seemed). You had to entertain yourself so I learned a lot of card games, played a lot of board games, read a lot of books, and loved every minute of it. After Gramps passed my b/f and I even bought a lot of land and built a log cabin on it. We cut and cured our own logs, notched them ourselves, etc., it was a huge learning experience and we learned a lot of it from Gramps. One of the lessons in life that he taught me was to never lie to yourself. He would say that you might lie to other people for whatever reasons but at the end of the day, when you were alone and looked in the mirror, you should always be honest with yourself. If you start lying to yourself, then you are truly lost. The world needs more Gramps.

This is true.... any smoke will always have carcinogens. This is why some people vaporize.... 99% smoke free baby.

I'll admit, there are times I do too. Especially now with being sick and sometimes not having an appetite for days. I'm pretty fragile already and I don't need to be starving too. It's part of the reason why my buddy in Japan sends me goodies 3-4 times a year. He's trying to fatten me up! lol I also think sometimes that I'm not getting any younger and what would it hurt? But then the sensible side of me kicks in and I laugh at myself.

Fyi... THC pills work well for appetite stimulus. Friend gave me a couple to check out... I ate them... I never felt high one bit (slightly disappointed at that) but I've never been more hungry in my life.
