What makes you think that? I consider if I could be wrong all the time. I just am not, most of the time. When you think through your opinions before you make them, you don't have that problem.
Ha.
Coming from the person who has managed to in one thread say that people below some arbitrary age are unable to hold proper opinions, defended a broken system without explaining why the problems that people can easily point out with it don't matter, and downright insulting people who disagree with you, I'll take that as a complement. It would be hard to top you.
Is that what you think I've been doing?
It's not an arbitrary age. It's your age. You are someone who has little to no life experience, due to the fact that you haven't been around that long. You don't work. You didn't even finish high school, and you still live at home with your mother. Does that mean that everything you say is without merit? Hardly. But it does mean that you aren't nearly as right nearly as often as you think you are. You'll figure it out when you're older. Hopefully.
Since I disagree that the system is broken (that claim was made by you), the burden of proof was never on me. I don't have to prove that a claim made by someone else is wrong. If you can't understand that, I'm not sure what to tell you.
As for downright insulting, I have no idea what you're talking about. But if you think my posts in this thread are anything close to trolling, then you need to go buy yourself a mirror, stat.
It also doesn't stop it from being a necessary evil. Very few people love politics. But it's a fact of life, and we just have to muddle through as best we can.
Some of us are just more reasonable about said muddling.
'cause we can all agree that Bush sucks and Feba is just talking out of his ass with his blatant disrespect for the founding fathers and those who fought in the American Revolution.

Wow. Ad hominem much? Even if that was accurate, what makes you think that you (or anyone else, for that matter) have the 'life experience' to vote where I don't?

Correct, but that argument itself is a strawman. I have provided proof that the system is broken (popular vote not deciding the winner, electoral college being broken, two party system forcing people to vote against their own opinions), to which your only counterpoint was 'you're wrong lulz'. The onus is clearly on you to show why those are not problems, as I have already pointed out why they are.
Is that what you think I've been doing?
Not think, know. And of course.
Feba is just talking out of his ass with his blatant disrespect for the founding fathers and those who fought in the American Revolution.
There's a big difference between forefathers and the founding fathers, but beside that, YOU are the one who is blatantly disrespecting them. Saying "BLAHBLAHBLAH FOUNDING FATHERS BLAHBLAHBLAH AMERICA IS WHAT THEY WANTED" is not only a silly argument, but is downright insulting to them. You speak of their ideals, but you know not what they are. The fact that most of them didn't want parties is nearly common knowledge, yet you say it's how they wanted it. You stick your nose in where, frankly, you don't even have the knowledge of many school children in this country. Now, I'm not going to criticize you for being Canadian and not giving a crap about American politics, I couldn't name any foreign leader that doesn't hate us, but if you are going to comment on the subject, know what the hell you are talking about.
There's a big difference between arguing that I don't "owe" it to them because they didn't do anything I benefited from (that I wouldn't have also benefited from in another country) and saying I don't have respect for what they did. While you think about that, go to a damn library and pick up a book. Speaking for the founding fathers when you have no clue what they stood for is more disrespectful than anything I could even think about doing.
Feba reminds me very much of Casey on Ragnarok if anyone knows him.
Feba, this is a good thing; Casey is the man. He is no longer in my LS due to dramatoramaness, and it makes me sad.
Wow. Ad hominem much? Even if that was accurate, what makes you think that you (or anyone else, for that matter) have the 'life experience' to vote where I don't?
Please point out where I said someone else should vote for you. If I'm wrong about these facts I have listed about you, my apologies. But I'm pretty sure I'm right.

You claim that they are problems. You haven't proven anything.
Also, saying the burden of proof is on you isn't a strawman.

Well, feel free to point out some examples of this awful behavior. Without hyperbole, of course.
Just a general question, Feba, but is there a single topic that you have ever discussed on this forum that you haven't professed (or at least argued as though you were) an expert? Because I'm kind of drawing a blank.
It's great that you're so sure you're right all the damn time, but also kind of improbable. I'm just saying.
Well, feel free to point out some examples of this awful behavior. Without hyperbole, of course.
Honestly, ignoring the trolling, if you can't even see the massive amount of logical fallacies you're making, there's something wrong with you. I feel like I'm talking to a creationist. There's no point in even trying to reply to you with the way you are in this thread.
Just a general question, Feba, but is there a single topic that you have ever discussed on this forum that you haven't professed (or at least argued as though you were) an expert?
Yeah, nearly all of them. Having knowledge about something and being an expert aren't the same thing. I'm sorry I care to learn things, though.
Bottom line for me, and then I'll be done with this thread, because quite frankly, I've spent too much time in it already.
If you want to debate politics as they are, great. But if you want to complain that the system sucks, and that you don't intend to vote and/or the entire system should be scrapped (neither of which are reasonable courses of action since the system we have isn't going anywhere, and by NOT voting, you effectively give up what little voice you do have in politics) then I don't really care to continue the conversation. The fact is, the system we have is the system we have. Deal with it or STFU. And if you choose to STFU, then you have to STFU for the duration. No one wants to hear a bunch of armchair politicians spouting off. It's tired.
