Thanks TGM unfortunately in this day and age you have to watch what you say and how you read what others have to minimise offending anyone. I know only too well how my feet taste as they have been in my mouth many times

Oh no Jarre, I didn't think they were a flame. I was just curiouis. I know that not all of us live in the same country and meanings can change in each. I ask because I don't want to misunderstand and put my foot in my mouth. LOL

Basically a Bra burner is a women who preaches poverty 100% and that she never gets her own way (mainly because they rather bitch about not being able to do something rather than actually try themselves to do it)

One example in teh UK. A guy worked in London sewers he got paid £30k a year to do it. The local "Womens rights movement" said that no women would get that salary if they did it. The council retorted that no women had applied for the job and would get paid the same salary if they did. The women handcuffed themselvs to the coucil buildings railings chanting they had no rights. To this day no women has applied for the job they were protesting about equal wages for. when one of the protesters was interviewed on this morning (a UK daytime chat show) she was asked would she apply for that job to which she replied no. When asked about teh other council jobs it was proven that they get paid the same no matter what job it was. It seemed that they were picking jobs that only men did to try and make a comparrison when the fact is no women had applied for them.

A bra burner is a female protester who protests about rights and uses as many excuses as they can to fight their cause against men even when they have no proof that there is any cause to fight for.

GTM I ain't a biggot, I'm jsut quoting fact that there are some who take equal rights to the extreem. And certain attitudes will get people labeled under that heading.

You'll also note the emote in my previous comment which shows the comments are in good fun and not a flame.

If male hating/discrimination was an Olympic sport, each medalist would more often than not fall under that category.

Best description I can think of in these first few hours of the New Year. Whee~.

Fixed. I don't think my dad knows how old I am, or what the legal drinking age is.

Actually he's still quite sound in his mental facilities, just doesn't seem one to be real thoughtful, I guess is the word, when it comes to gifts.

How old is your Grandfather? Could dementia be setting in? Could possibly explain the faux pas.

I didn't personally get this gift, my youngest brother did, last Christmas. He would have been 13 at the time. Our paternal grandfather does not see us very often. By that I mean he hasn't seen us face to face really since I was about 6 and this was *years* before said brother was even born.

He buys the boy a paint by numbers horse picture.

...to say the least he was insulted. As were my parents.

Fine, cool, thought that counts, but could you at least get the boy's gender right?

    Well... I got several...

The first, was a weight machine... Now, some people might take this as a hint to get into shape, but I already am in shape...

The second, was... bottled water. Not just any bottled water mind you, but exotic bottled water.

I'm talking Fiji, Canadian, Japanese, German and French water, among others.

The third was a XBOX 360 game.

I don't have an XBOX 360, nor do I plan on getting one.
