Heh my issue is more that I spend 8-9 hours a day in a position where I have 3 supervisors on my ass if I make a typo, so by the time I get home I'm tired of using proper grammar/typing.

Yeah, that's probably it.

Then again, I used to live in Louisiana. The kids there tend to write chatspeak into a high school essay if I'm not mistaken (And if they don't, they sure fooled me). Once you hit High School in Louisiana they stop teaching spelling and most grammar and your "English" class is suddenly 99% literature.

The majority is a very stupid place to be.

Not even mentioning the whole "teenage girls using internet acronyms in day to day speech, intentionally" shit, when I got my GED there were actually people there two and three times my age that had to repeat it. I mean, I got in the 99th percentile of scores without studying at all.
