          Probably some of them but definitely not all the ones on the new show. The very original ones just had some emblems on the flanks and not all this sparkly multi colored hair and shit.

            To be honest I don't remember. I doubt it though. Fads change over 25 years, I'd guess the art styles aren't the only differences.

                  Spike and Applejack are the only two legacy characters from the original line. The others came about in various stages over the years, or just for this new series.
