It's not the pay that's important. Did you know the Harlem Globetrotters barely got paid enough to put food on the table?
I rather get paid $15 an hour doing something that I actually like as opposed to getting paid $25 an hour for something I would kill myself or someone else over after a few days into that crap. I think the economy is responding as well and is pulling back on the "spend, spend, spend, borrow, borrow, bankrupt" mentality in the early part of the past decade.
Pllus, company perks and benefits is another thing most people don't look at. If they pay for healthcare then that's like getting paid $30 an hour at some other place where you have to get your own health insurance.
