what do you do outside of FFXI

I have noticed that quite a large percentage of us in this forum actually work for a living

So when not playing FFXI, eating or sleeping etc. what do you do?

Well I am an Architect in the UK and a partime firefighter.

Today I've been working on a problem with an existing building structure.



And halfway through ended up being called out to this.


So what do you do?

I have a degree in English Writing (focus on fiction) and somehow ended up as a clerk for the local welfare office. I romantically compare myself to Einstein as he worked as a clerk for awhile too.

I know what your problem is. It's too small. What's the point of a building you can't even get into. It needs to be at least 3 times bigger.

I work as a programmer. Which is a much better job than I expected to get with a B.A. in Creative Writing from an engineering school.

I'm a Dispatch specialist for UPS... basically design loops and maintain proper dispatching for drivers.

I am still in school.... so go to school.

I am have plans on becoming a programmer after college. I am currently learning Visual Basic and will start C/C++ pretty soon.

Im still in High School, theres not much for me to do besides FFXI.

The only other thing I really do outside of this are to orginizations I go to.

The Cilvil Air Patol, we are the auxiliary of the united states Air Force. We get to do a lot of Volunteer work, fly on occasion, and emergency services.

The other one is Amtgard. We do Mideval Fantasy fighting sorta stuff, with Foam padded weapons. Heheh, later I'll post up some pictures.

Nope the client wants to remove the entance to create a large open space and extend it 6m south, problem is 3 support steels (the grey bits) are where they want the opening.

Right now, I get paid to play video games

A dream job for many, but I bet there is alot of paperwork with it!!
